Luna had an exciting mood despite the awestricken look on her roommates' faces. Her dark eyes even reflected her happiness upon seeing the result of her experiment. The common wind spirit could make a disaster of that level and imagining what the others could do when they combined their powers made her heartbeat fasten. With a big smile on her face, she turned towards them.
"We have succeeded! This is what you call a tornado! It's enough to bridge the gap between us and the higher ranking seniors, but this is just the start," Luna uttered.
The strong wind continued to blow away her tangled hair but she paid it no heed.
Meanwhile, Elle and Elenord both said, "We know it's a tornado! We have to make it stop Luna!"
Then the wind spirit came forward with a worried expression showing on her face.
"Elenord, lady, what kind of disastrous attack have you made me do! I'm certain that the wind would be able to destroy some buildings and injure others. There are already some trees on it that could fly away everywhere!" she said.
'Uhm, I'm very sure it is only Luna who ordered you to do that, not me,' Elenord thought.
In the midst of it, the others' training grounds that were not that far away from them had felt that something was wrong so they walked towards them and finally saw the source of the sudden strong winds that would shove them away if they did not use magic.
"W-what is that?!" A man uttered.
Nonetheless, a girl murmured on his ears while shaking her head lightly. "I can see the Honorary Master Mage's student here who blew up the special classroom. It was no wonder this even happened," she said.
From afar, Luna raised her hand and released a huge amount of golden fire that was pointed towards the tornado with her wide-opened palms. The huge tornado was soon enveloped by the flames and it shone like a golden light that lights up the skies whose sun was about to set. Then streaks of lightning started to appear from time to time.
"What a beautiful sight," Luna uttered.
Blair looked towards her. "I don't know which part of it is beautiful Luna. I can only see a scary wind magic power," he said.
"Right! And why did you enhanced it with fire!" Elle said.
"Don't worry Elle, it was her healing fire, not the offensive one," Blair said.
The siblings seemed to heave a sigh of relief but seeing the tornado again made their stressed faces come back.
"It won't hurt anyone, I guess? The students are weak if they couldn't even defend themselves from a flying tree," Luna said.
Elenor looked towards her with a deep frown on her face. The new student on their team would make their rank even lower.
"And what will you do if it starts to destroy the shops when it passed the students' training grounds?" he said.
Luna sighed deeply. "Well, I have no choice, come with me, I'll stop it," she said.
Elle and Blair followed her. Elle noticed that she couldn't run very fast and chanted some support spell on Luna. Then Elenor chose to follow them as he did not want any more problems to come to their newly formed team.
It was hard to chase after the swirling tornado but with the help of the wind spirit pushing Luna on her back using wind powers, they managed to get near it.
Luna immediately called the white flames and made it huge which she didn't usually do. The last one she tried this was at Akiro's forest that didn't end well. Meanwhile, the harsh white flames slowly engulfed the tornado that met the people with a blinding light like a star falling by.
She bit her lips tightly while controlling the intensity of the flames. As the tornado was moving near the shop, a huge crater on the ground wasn't good. Reduction points would be waiting for them if that happened.
As the tornado was getting devoured by her flames, she decreased the white flames bit by bit hoping to have her control be better than last time. Then she calmed herself and it seemed to work even though it was forceful.
Emotions were greatly affecting one's magic control that somewhat made magic skip logical reasoning. Although there were some rules, she thought that there were no definite set of rules, all were temporary and changing; it was unreasonable compared to science which could be calculated. With magic, one could only depend on one's mind and will.
After a while, the destructive tornado disappeared out of nowhere but there was a fallen tree on the left side.
"Y-you did it," Elle uttered.
Some of her disheveled auburn hair was on her face but she ignored it. The important thing was the problem was solved.
Not long after they saw the mage whose role was to take rounds around the training area. He rubbed his eyes after seeing what had happened. He previously ran hurriedly towards the incident fearing that his superior would scold him if something bad took place.
The tornado appearing out of nowhere earlier almost made him ran out of breath. He had not heard a student with a high-class wind spirit to make a spell of that scale.
"Greetings, Advanced Mage Silva, there is just some magic we made out of control but we managed it ourselves already. I apologize for the sudden incident that could cause some non-students' lives," Elenor explained.
The Advanced Mage nodded. "It's okay to experiment but magic of that scale is too great for this size of the training ground. I recommend you to take the test for relocating to a more advanced training ground," he said.
Elle's twinkled upon hearing that and her previously down face was now smiling widely.
"Really? Then we'll do it when we have our free time," Elle said.
The man left with a sigh of relief. That ominous tornado seemed to diminish a year of his life. He thought that lower-ranking senior students and even that famous student wasn't that dangerous but he began to think that he's wrong.
'What's wrong with this year's batch of students?' He though.
Meanwhile, the four of them decided to rest after what happened and they had a lot to talk to after.
On the other side, the wind spirit seemed to be moved by Luna's knowledge. She didn't think that she made her capable of doing such a great feat. She clenched her fist in delight.
"I've decided."
