Chapter 4 - lesson number 3 make time for anything

I understand a ice skater's life is hard for everyone because competitions ,shows and other stuff. But it's important to make time for your friends and family and loved ones and school work . When I was younger I skated before school and I learned to balance school work and skating and all my extra ciricular activities my teachers and my coaches taught me how to balance everything One time in 8th grade i had a lesson at the rink with my one of coaches and I had to leave early because I had to go home and get ready for the 8th grade prom and my coach was furious that I had to leave early because I was going to my 8th grade prom and I was looking forward to it all year to be and to be with alot my friends one last time and I felt like he wasn't being fair to me so I walked out of the session and went home to get ready. There were times in my life I had to miss other skating stuff for family parties and friends parties and school dances because my life doesn't prioritize around skating and I wanted to be just like everyone else.

In High school I was focused on my studies and ice skating so much that I didn't get invited to too many parties ,go to school football games or sporting events but by junior and senior year I did alot and balanced it all

Now I balanced everything and always remember

make time for friends and family because that's always important but the number one priority is school
