Kyoya's room at the old house was almost the same as their room at Rosy Mansion. Aside from the wooden structure of the traditional house, it was equipped with modern furniture.
This reminded Shouko to his rest lounge in the office.
"En, I changed this room to follow ours at home around four years ago," Kyoya replied after being pointed out by Shouko. "We'd always come and sleep here whenever we're free. Sometimes, it's thrice a month."
"Oh, I didn't expect that," Shouko hummed in acknowledgment.
Even thrice a month couldn't properly elevate Grandpa's loneliness. Once, Kyoya invited him to come and live with them in Rosy Mansion but the old man refused. He didn't want to be apart from his ancestral home.
"Ah, what's that?" Shouko's attention got caught by something.
On one side, a corner was set up to place his belongings from his younger days. She left Kyoya behind and went to take a look.
