Whenever she recalled his face filled with disappointment, it was hard for her to keep calm. After thinking through, she thought she finally found the solution. It might not be the best but she secretly hoped it was better than nothing.
As she got nearer to the study, her heart started beating loudly. Shouko clasped her hands together, muttering a silent prayer. Once she stood in front of the closed doors, she ceased moving.
Shouko wasn't sure how should she start it. He should still be angry with her.
But, if she kept on dawdled, it wouldn't be good too. And... it wasn't only her who would have a sleepless night. Knowing him, it was possible that he couldn't sleep either.
Shouko pursed her lips. She raised her hands and gently knocked on the door twice.
"Kyoya... Could we talk?"
Hesitancy laced his voice. Shouko quickly retracted her hand, anxiously waiting for him to open the door.
