Even though he enjoyed the little time he spent with his wife last night, Kyoya still couldn't help but feel troubled when the next morning came.
He had yet to tell her about who was the one trying to harm her.
"...ya? Kyoya?"
Kyoya snapped out of his daze. He stared blankly at the chopsticks in his right hand for a second before he lifted up his eyes to look at Shouko who sat opposite him.
"Ah, sorry. What did you say?"
"Are you okay?" His question was met with another question by Shouko.
Kyoya quickly shook his head. "No, it's nothing. I'm just thinking of my work a bit. So, wife, what did you say?"
Shouko smiled. "Do you remember the chocolate-coated chestnuts I made yesterday? Do you want to bring some to your office?"
After dinner last night, Old Toshio brought out a plate of the said chestnuts. Shouko was happy to see him enjoying the sweets she made.
"Alright. Let me bring some," Kyoya readily agreed.
