Shouko entered her second trimester safely. By now, her belly began to show while her waist grew thicker. The expanding of her womb made her felt quite painful but Shouko didn't complain much. Her fondness of sleeping was still there but it wasn't as bad as her first trimester.
The only thing that grew apparent was...
Kyoya suddenly woke up in the middle of the night. His gaze was blurry as he stared at the ceiling above his head. One of his hands patted on the other side of the bed, feeling nothing except warmth exuding from the sheets.
His eyes became focused in an instant.
Kyoya let out a helpless laugh. He stared at the empty side of the bed where his wife was supposed to be sleeping.
"Did she really sneak out?"
Kyoya propped up on an elbow. He got out of the bed and wore his slippers then he quietly made his way out of the room.
