That night, the family of three shared a blanket and slept together. Shouko hugged Yuuya while he drifted to sleep. The small child snuggled close to her. On the other side, Kyoya reached out his long hand and gently patted his wife's head.
After drinking hot chocolate, Kyoya urged the two of them to go to sleep. They could talk more once daytime arrived. It was already closed to midnight when Shouko and Yuuya finally calmed down after crying while embracing each other.
"My love, sleep," Kyoya tucked Shouko's hair behind her ear. He let the tips of his fingers lingered over her skin, "Your eyes have swollen. You'd make Yuuya worrier tomorrow."
"...I can't sleep," Shouko closed her eyes, only to open them again.
Kyoya propped on one elbow, pulling up the quilt to cover Shouko's shoulders and stroke her hair, "Your body couldn't stand it if you don't rest properly. You're carrying a child, my love."
