"Kyoya... what's..."
Shouko felt her body was doused by a bucket of icy cold water. Her eyes blankly staring at the storybook lying on the floor. Without realizing it, she clenched and unclenched her hands as the sense of losing something precious throbbed in her heart painfully.
Kyoya bent down and picked up the book. His brows frowned in worry. Despite that, he turned around and calmly said to his wife, "Don't worry. I think he's in the room."
"But..."
She heard the sound of someone running in the hallway after the book fell.
Was it really Yuuya?
"Nothing happens," Kyoya stroked her face, "Go to bed. I'll talk to him."
"No, I want to see Yuuya," Shouko shook her head. She couldn't stay still if Kyoya insisted on going to Yuuya alone, "He might hear me... What if... Let's go together?"
Seeing that he couldn't persuade her, Kyoya nodded, "Alright."
