Shouko followed Aunt Amaya, Aunt Masako and Ono to the kitchen to prepare
Yuki stayed behind to play with Yuuya who was now sitting beside Grandpa at the kotatsu. They were currently elated by the gifts given by Yuuya to them.
"How are you guys getting used to Yuuya's presence?"
Aunt Masako gently asked the question while she was placing the pickled turnips that were cut into chrysanthemum shape onto a lacquer bowl. As the finishing touch, she put chili slices and yuzu peel strips on the center of the turnips.
Shouko lifted up her eyes from the salted salmon in front of her. She was picking any bones that were left in them before she started to cut them. Her task was to prepare the salmon kombu roll.
