It was a teary farewell when Yuuya finally saying goodbye to his friends and the personnel of the care home. He received a few gifts from his peers which he promised to keep the tokens in good condition.
"Bye bye, Yuuya!"
"Don't forget about us!"
"Live well!"
Yuuya waved at them as the car drove to leave the yard of the care home. He didn't turn away from the home until the building grew smaller and smaller. Only then did he slowly turn his body to sit properly.
"It's normal to feel sad," Shouko lifted up a hand and gently patted his head, "They are your friends. Mommy will bring you here sometime later, alright?"
"En," Yuuya nodded.
He was happy when the couple beside him, Auntie Shouko and Uncle Kyoya, had finally become his parents. The words 'Mommy' and 'Daddy' smoothly flowed out of their mouths when they talked to him. A layer of warmth helped to shed away the anxiousness he felt.
