What Shouko saw next was red blood spluttering, creating a stark contrast against the white snow.
The gunshot was deafening to the ear. In an instant, chaos broke out. Men in black suits running past Shouko, scattering to get in their position. Their movements did nothing to pull Shouko from her shock. Her lips trembled as she tried to get up from the ground.
"Kei... Keitaro... Keitaro!"
Little Riceball fell on the snow. Kyoya quickened his run yet Shouko had already crawled to hold her dear son.
"Keitaro... Little Riceball?"
Little Riceball blinked his eyes, staring at Shouko. A hazy layer started to form in his eyes. He smiled at the snow that had begun falling. They were like twinkling lights in the dark night.
"Mommy... it's snowing..."
