They were thrown inside a dark room. This time, their feet too were also tied. Jay and his accomplice left after locking the door.
There were no working bulbs inside the room. The only light that illuminated the room came from the moon outside. The windows were built near the high ceiling, making it impossible for Shouko to think of using them as an escape route.
"Mommy, I'm scared..."
Shouko retracted her gaze from her surroundings. She showed a smile to the scrunched up face of Little Riceball. Scooting closer to him, Shouko let Little Riceball pounced on her. Her heart sank when she felt how the small body shivered in fear.
"Daddy would come soon. Little Riceball, don't worry, alright?" Shouko whispered softly in an attempt to soothe the little guy.
