Shouko could only properly stabilize her emotions after a long bout of crying. She smiled sheepishly went Kyoya tugged her to go back upstairs. They sat on a bench. He wetted a towel and wiped his wife's crying face while Shouko adjusted her hair.
"Sorry..." Shouko lowered her head.
Kyoya let out a soft chuckle. He pressed the damp towel over her eyes.
"You've cried so much," Kyoya said distressedly, "I'll go and ask for a drink. Wait for me here."
Before Shouko could say anything, her husband had already run toward the temple. From a distance, she saw him talking to a monk. He returned shortly with bottled mineral water.
"Drink first," Kyoya unscrewed the cap and handed the bottle to his wife.
Shouko obediently accepted the drink. She drank half of it before she urged her husband to finish it. She knew he must be feeling thirsty right now.
