Before Shouko and Kyoya departed to the Kashino family graveyard, she received a message from Aunt Masako.
Aunt Masako: I've heard that Kyoya has already told you about your son. I wanted to call you yesterday but, let's meet instead when you're free. Have a safe trip. Remember, you have us with you.
It seemed like Aunt Masako had known about them going to visit Little Riceball's burial tomb. When Shouko thought back, she indeed found it strange because Aunt Masako didn't call her in these two days.
Knowing Aunt Masako, if the older lady knew that Kyoya intended to let her know the truth, it was probable for Aunt Masako to call or meet her to ask about her well-being. Shouko thought that her aunt didn't do so to give her space first.
A Scribbler in Autumn: Let's meet tomorrow. Thank you, Aunt, for everything.
The reply came instantly.
Aunt Masako: Yes, I'm your good aunt, right?
Once she read the text, Shouko smiled.
