The sound of the tender voice came from the other end of the phone, rippling her tranquil heart as pleasant surprise flickered in her eyes. Never did Shouko expect to hear Yuuya talking to her after days of not hearing him spoken.
Maybe because she was too emotional since last night. Only by hearing the little boy's milky voice, it caused another surge of complex emotions to rise from the depths of her heart. Even so, Shouko did her best to not let her mind being overcome by her emotions.
"Why did you ask Auntie to not get sick?" teased Shouko. She rubbed the corner of her eyes, drying the tears that were squeezed out.
"Mommy Shinohara said, Auntie couldn't come because you're sick," One by one, Yuuya muttered out the words to form a string of sentence. Then, he quietly pointed out, "Your voice sounds a bit off."
"Ah, hehe, Auntie is not sick," Shouko giggled, "Yuuya, what are you drawing today?"
