The study room was filled with silence. Occasionally, a low voice could be heard breaking the stillness. A tall figure stood in front of the closed French windows, his dark eyes cast a profound gaze to the night view outside. He pressed his phone against his right ear, listening to whoever speaking at the end of the line.
"En... I understand. Yes, I'll call you back... Don't worry."
Kyoya lowered the phone from his ear. His gaze went from the view of the garden to the floor underneath his slippered feet. Pursing his lips, his brows furrowed as the sense of discomfort filled his heart.
As he was lost in his thoughts, the sound of the door being opened came from his back. He quickly regained his clarity. Turning his back to face the one standing at the door, he saw his dearest wife.
"Kyoya," Her soft voice was calling out to him. It was the sound he loved the most.
"Love, you're here," He gave her a weak smile.
