Shouko spent the entire afternoon with Editor Minagawa. They exchanged points and drew attention to what should they heed for. Once the clock struck 4 PM, Shouko began to tidy up her things. She had written a lot while talking to her editor.
While she was gathering all of her pens and notebook, a piece of paper slipped out between the pages of the notebook. The colorful illustration caught Editor Minagawa's attention.
"What's that?"
Shouko's eyes drifted to the paper. Her eyes were crinkled with joy. Taking the paper from the notebook, she showed it to the older lady.
"This drawing was gifted by one of the children at the care home. Look, isn't it pretty?"
When she spoke, it was filled with pride as if she was the one who created this beautiful drawing.
