The next day as well as the following one, Shouko still concealed her tumultuous thoughts from Kyoya's eyes. She busied herself with the progress of her story. It helped to calm her nerves.
So many things happened recently. She wanted some time to think more about it, rationally.
Shouko held no doubts in regards to her husband yet when the knots inside her mind continued to entangle, either she liked it or not, she had to unravel them.

A light tap on her shoulder brought her back from her daze. Shouko blinked once, regaining her clarity. She stared at the old lady sitting next to her.
"Ah... Teacher Shoda, what did you say?" She smiled sheepishly.
Teacher Shoda gave her a kind smile, "It's nothing. Is everything okay with you? You seem out of sorts."
"No, I'm fine," Shouko lightly shook her head, "I'm sorry... I was thinking of something else. Did you say something, Teacher Shoda?"
