As Aunt Masako's return was done abruptly, Ono didn't have the luxury to apply for days off since her department was chaotic with extra jobs these days. She accompanied Aunt Masako and Shouko to have breakfast together before heading to work. They ate at a breakfast bar downstairs, in one of the commercial blocks of the waterfront.
Both of the two ladies went for a walk at the waterfront recreational park. Since it was still early, most people that they bypassed were joggers or cyclers. The cool and crisp air of the autumn morning freshened their minds as the sun basked on them.
"Are you really not going to rest more? What about your jet lag?"
Shouko looked at her aunt with inquiry in her eyes. The time difference between local time and Albania time was eight hours. Aunt Masako should be sleeping right now instead of walking around in the park.
