Days were shorter in autumn so even though the clock had just struck 6 PM, it was already dark outside. By the time Shouko and Kyoya walked out of the house, Uncle Tetsuya and his family were already waiting for them.
"Sister Shouko!" Yuki suddenly exclaimed in excitement, "You're so beautiful!"
Shouko laughed shyly while Kyoya looked so much in pride hearing the praise for his wife.
"The kimono is beautiful, it suits you well," Aunt Amaya smiled kindly. Her words were more refined than her daughter's, "Even though the colors are different, I could see that yours is a pair with Kyoya's."
"Yes," Kyoya nodded in acknowledgment, "Our kimonos are a pair."
After Shouko came out from the washroom, she was surprised to see two beautiful kimonos - one for a lady and the other one for a man - laid on the bed. Kyoya was looking at her with a gentle smile on his face. He said these would be their outfits for tonight.
