It was a quarter to 10 AM by the time Shouko reached the suburb. Kenji was a meticulous driver, he didn't drive the car at a reckless speed especially when the expressway was congested with the vehicles coming and going during the morning rush.
Shouko watched the scenery changed when the car exited the expressway, entering the town before it finally moved on the road of the suburbs where the care home was at.
The cold, dark gray tall buildings of the city regressed to much shorter ones in the town then eventually she could see more warm-looking homes of the residents of the suburbs. Even the environment appeared greener until she saw a vast field of ginkgo trees, their golden yellow leaves fell and scattered on the roads.
"Young Madam, we're nearing our destination," Kenji pointed out with a smile. As a young man in his early twenties, the way he carried himself was full of vigor.
"Oh, is this it?"
