Since Kyoya wouldn't go to the office as he left the rest of the matter to Ryota and Kuroda, Shouko persuaded him to go home when he actually wanted to bring her out to date. They were bickering at the backseat with the partition raised up, separating them from Old Takashi.
"Do you think you could fool me by smiling happily?" Shouko gently chided him, "I could see your dark lines, honey."
"I'm fine, love," Kyoya insisted although he felt the warmth from the way she cared for him. Tugging at her sleeve, he asked again, "Don't you want to go on a date with me?"
Shouko pressed her lips into a straight line. She hardened her heart from his puppy eyes, she adamantly refused, "No. Let's go back. We could go on a date another day. Well, since we would go and bring the children out for fun the day after tomorrow, it could be count as a date too, yes?"
Kyoya glowered, purposely appearing as if he was sulking now which incited Shouko to laugh.
