I look over the housing list as Calec and I stood outside the pack hospital. Our five new Darkwolves members will be meeting us soon after there discharge. I scan over the former initiatives names pausing slightly at Novia's. The she wolf that was guided by her inner beast to fight for a pack. My wolf was very interested in the female and can't wait to test her again. The sound of voices and footsteps grab my attention. I look up to see the initiatives walking out the hospital doors.
They visibly go stiff at the sight of me bowing there heads lowly. I stood tall to me feet making sure to give them as reassuring smile. Novia stood in the middle of the bunch next to the brunette male wolf. Everyone looks healed up and healthy from the ass beating handed to them by Ash and I.
"Why hello new members of the Darkwolves," I greeted moving to stand next to Calec.
The wolves couldn't help the excitement that filled there face at my words.
"I'm glad to see you'll healed and smiling. You have survive the worst and now earn your place in the Darkwolves," Calec voice with his own smile.
"Calec and I will escort you to your housing dorm. Your initiation to the pack will be tonight. All new members are required to house in the dorms until a year after their initiation. Once then you're free to apply for your own house," I quickly told them of the housing run down.
"All the information they would have found out at the meeting," Calec mock igniting a chorus of chuckles from the new members.
I smack my lips and roll my eyes playfully with a smile. The initiatives seems to relax at our playful banter. Calec is a pro when it comes to lightening the mood in any situation.
"I was just following the instructions," I muse letting the clipboard fall to my side, "take over love."
"Let's first start with introducing yourselves to my mate, your future Beta," he quickly takes over without hesitation.
During the initiation trial the hopeful wolves are not allowed to meet Ash and I until the final trail. Shade only wants the best of wolves for his pack. So, he doesn't want us to feel any pity for the wolves and save one that doesn't need any saving. Our pack is one of the top packs in the world, which means we're the most targeted. Our father is not welcoming to any old wolf.
But with this group of new members I feel a certain bond I couldn't explain. The brunette male wolf and the female wolf has my attention.
"Well, I'm Sara," a blonde tall slender female voice with a low respectful nod.
"Nice to meet you," I step up grabbing her hand in mine, "you held your own with my sister and receive her approval to join the Darkwolves. I can't wait to see your skills for myself."
The female eyes lit up at my words, "would be an honor."
I gave her a wink moving over to the brunette, "I'm happy to see that your kneecaps have heel nicely."
"Still hurt like a bitch," he grins, shaking my hand with a firm grip, "Davon."
"Would love to have another round with you and the female next to you," I admit glancing down at Novia.
"My name is Novia," she spoke confidently, "and I'm sure we both can't wait to show you more of what we're made of."
Davon nod his head low in agreement as I grin with a silent promise. I continue down the line of meeting the members officially. Once we were finished the atmosphere amongst the wolves have changed from intimidation to relax.
"Now, let's show you guys to your new home," Calec announce while taking the clipboard from me.
"Malva and Ash we have a security brief I want you to assist me with. Meet in the front of the pack house in three."
Shade order through the pack link.
"The Alpha just ordered me to meet him to investigate a security breach," I relay the information to my mate through the link.
He looks up from the housing list with a raise brow, "keep me abreast and be careful."
I nod giving him a quick kiss on the lips, "I have some business that requires my attention. Can't wait to see you guys tonight because tomorrow you'll be officially Darkwolves."
Everyone mumbles their goodbyes as I walk off towards the pack house. This is the first time in a while we've been called to assist in a security breach. We don't normally get much of them but we at least get one or two a month. Wonder what this breach consists of that cause Shade to call Ash and I in? It didn't take me long to reach the pack house in the allowed time. When I walk into the house, Ash, was just entering the front corridor.
"Follow me," Shade orders out of no where.
He led us out the pack house and into the forest. Our beast raised there head to attention as Ash and I shared a long look. The further we walk, the predominate smell of a mix of fresh citrus filled my nose. My wolf tilt her head rising slowly to her feet while Shade led us into a clearing. Ink, Shade's Beta, stood with his back towards us before two male wolfs.
The strength coming from these two wolf only amuse my beast. It was clear there veins didn't flow with the weight of alpha blood. No, the power that flows from them was different from anything I've ever felt. I allowed my beast to come forward to eye the men with curiosity. There eyes quickly snap over to me going wide almost in shock.
"What is this?" Ash hiss with venom.
Ink growl furiously moving to stand behind the two male wolves, "Alpha. Ladies."
Ink has become someone I've look up to. He wears his black curly hair cut short that fell just above his face. Eyes a dark brown that compliments his tan skin. Build for speed and strength; he always stands with his back straight and hands clasp together behind him. The one thing noticeable about him, to me and the pack, is his loyalty and hardship. A strong and worthy Beta to Alpha Shade.
"Colorwolves," Shade answer his daughter simply.
My wolf stumble over the word, our head tilting curiously. I stalk around the bound men slowly before stopping to stand next to Ink.
"Interesting," I mumble solely to myself.
Shade black eyes turn to me, watchfully, almost like he's daring me to do something. I can sense how everyone's wolf are blood thirsty at the sight of these Colorwolves; while my wolf only seem curious of the two. We our intrigue by the power radiating off them that only seems to slightly lesson with every passing minute.
"What happen here?" I ask looking to Ink, "I can feel them weakening by the second."
"Dark.." one of the men tried to speak but was quickly cut off by a swift kick in the stomach from Ink's foot.
"They killed two of our trackers on patrol on nearby," Ink rumbles, "Jacob tore into them good."
Jacob was a warrior wolf and one of the strongest of them all. But I wasn't convinced that his rath could weaken these Colorwolves my father speak of. Something else was draining there power.
"What did you call us out here for," Ash question to Shade, "looks like you have these scums under control."
"These wolves are dangerous to our pack and always will be," Shade step forward dragging one of the men to his feet, "I want to send a message to their pack and I want you two to carry it out."
"How so," I ask confused at his intentions to sending a message.
"Kill them."
