With injuries all over their body, relief flooded the group as they watched the rats escape in every direction. They sat among the corpses as they felt their bodies aching all over the place however smiles were plastered all over their faces as they savored the rewards they have earned.
Eliza didn't level up and she was still level 6 however the [Rat Cadaver Sword] added two points to her strength and an additional point to her vitality furthermore while she was killing the rats she gained the [Boots of pes] which gave an additional two points to her agility

Rikka allocated all of her points to vitality and agility, her desire to live was just that intense. The capability to run fast for a long time whenever her life is in danger is her number one priority and while she didn't exactly intend to abandon Riku and Eliza, it was better this way when the time comes and they need to part ways.
As for Riku the two boxes didn't contain any equipment, rather both of them contained skills.
The first skill was [Sword Techniques], unlike equipment dropped by the monsters, the skill dropped didn't contain any explanation but it was rather direct so it didn't matter. The other skill was [Taming Techniques].
Although both skills attracted Riku's attention, he didn't want any of them besides neither of the two were suitable for him. The [Sword Techniques] was suitable for Eliza who just got a sword and while [Taming Techniques] doesn't exactly fit Rikka's status, she could use the tamed monsters if necessary as a decoy for her to escape.
Rikka didn't know much about the skill yet but monsters were everywhere, there were a lot of them for her to try the skill on.
The group stayed for a while in the chamber, only when they were ready did they start going back to their base.
As much as they needed to get stronger, the group slept and stayed in doors for the day.
Humanity was still at the bottom of the food chain, shelters were abandoned and citizens were sacrificed. The old cities that used to be so bright during the nighttime with their blinding lights were now abandoned. Tourist spots that used to attract the attention of millions of people were now used as part of the territories of various monsters from big to small, from few to many.
Mankind was pushed to the brink of extinction and it was only in the third week did most of the living start to adapt. Those who leveled up with the System were integrated into the army or the police. They were given privileges that the ordinary citizens could only dream of, they were called "Evolvers","Heroes" and some even worshipped them as "Gods".
The present is now being called as "The Gods Era" and hope is growing in everyone's hearts.
In this dog eat dog world, everyone was taking advantage of it. The ambitious ones built their own religions, cults and so called "kingdoms". There was nothing to stop them, the governments as much as they wanted to stop them and maintain their absolute power. It just wasn't worth it giving up their forces for these groups.
Chaos was present everywhere and new laws erupted everywhere depending on the location. The ambitions of mankind grew thanks to the System and it seemed like nothing could stop it until the announcement came.
The true rulers appeared and terror seized the heart of mankind as cities fell and countries were abandoned. Only the strong groups survived.
[The beginners phase is ending, the delay of evolution has now been lifted. Classes are now unlocked and certain functions are now accessible. The System encourages everyone to strive for the best. Joy can only be experienced by those who live and those who live are the ones trying their best to survive.] Everyone who heard the announcement felt fear for the future, the weak gave up, the cunning schemed and the strong ones, the ambitious ones braced themselves as they got ready to face the future.
The day that the announcement came will be called [The Segregation]. It was when the lucky ones could no longer rely on luck. It was the day when everyone's will were tested and those who weren't determined were exterminated.
