While Argent wasn't entirely satisfied with his preparations, he knew he only had a few hours before his body would require food and rest.
'I could purchase some ingredients from the system store… However, I'd like to use what little points I have elsewhere.' Argent thought.
He had spent some time browsing the store, finding various materials and workshops available for purchase. How he distributed his system points was dependent on the results of his first venture into the world of Relnia.
Argent's main goal was the acquisition of a food supply. However, he also hoped to find some raw materials while exploring.
Hard-wood for tools and crafts, seeds to start a farm, ores and more. Argent had high hopes, considering how much he had studied for this moment, he was itching to get going.
"System, start realm shift to Relnia." Argent said. He had a determined gleam in his eyes, clad in a gray cloak which he had sewn in his tailoring workshop. After all, he had those bolts of cloth, may as well use it.
'The cloak should cover my earth-based clothing, so I shouldn't look out of place if I meet anyone…' Argent thought. He stared forward into a swirling portal-like light, the realm shift. There was no way of knowing what was on the other side.
"Well system, wish me luck?" Argent said. He had a myriad of thoughts and emotions flowing through him, above all he was hoping this trip wouldn't disappoint him.
[Luck is a vague concept, please strive to accomplish your goals with your own strength, Host.]
Argent laughed before stepping forward, his body vanishing into the portal.
The journey was instantaneous, the moment his body passed through the portal he found himself in a forested grove. The sun was shining above him, the sound of birds chirping from the trees gave him peace of mind.
Taking a deep breath of cool crisp air, Argent began to move into the forest around him.
'Priority one, map the area while scouting for food and resources.' Argent thought. He moved slowly through the forest, the undergrowth was thick and the forest itself had clearly not seen the touch of civilization. Regardless, he had his own way of forging a path.
Argent made ample use of his inventory, sending anything in his path into the dimensional storage space. It was a cheat in its own right, being able to simply touch a tree and watch it vanish from his sight with but a thought.
In this way Argent established a path through the forest. Traveling further and further in one direction, which his mapping system indicated was north.
Eventually he came out of the forest and found himself on the edge of a cliff. He was dazed from what he saw.
"It really is a fantasy world…" Argent said lightly. He saw massive floating segments of land, waterfalls flowed off of them from sources unknown, falling into the clouds below.
Judging by his position, and the fact he could see a vast landscape far below, Argent was on top of one of these flying land masses.
'That explains why civilization has yet to reach these lands. They're literally out of reach.' Argent thought while smiling.
He wasn't sure what to expect at first, but he certainly didn't expect this.
