Chapter 11 - The genius (3)

Star was born and raised in Lerd Rrith school. It could be said that she has grown up with martial arts. Sword is her toy, disciples and teacher are her friends. Although she is just 19 years old, she could be considered as an expert, and she believes that martial art is about training and training so she had a little pride in her heart.

But in these five days, she felt like her whole world was turned upside down.

'This move, and that kick previously too. It's exactly what I had taught him!" She thinks while dodging Hoshi's punch and raising her arms to block the kick that aimed at her neck before shoot her foot to his stomach, made him growl a little bit before he fell to the ground

"Ah, this is very hard. You're very fast, Star. I can't response that kick at all" He said with an admired smile. Between this training, Saturn forbids him from using time magic in order to increase his standard skills. This made him realize how cheating the time wall was. Those attacks from Star, he believes he could dodge all of it but without this power, he is just her punching bag.

Hearing what he says, Star glare at him with complex emotion. At the previous fight, she could clearly sense his clumsiness and his inexperience which told her that this guy was a real rookie. But this means that this man in front of her could master most moves in Muay Thai within five days. Five days, she didn't know how should describe this guy's talent anymore, it's something that surpasses the word genius.

Almost...like a monster.

But that doesn't mean Hoshi didn't have any weak point. He still needs to gain fighting experience from the real battle and he still has to train his body and stamina like normal people or he might not able to catch up with his talent.

[Look at her face, It's kinda funny, isn't it? She must be thought of you as a monster.]

'Shut up.' Hoshi said before tried to be a good student by asking her what should he do next and end up having a spare fight again. And after they fight for a whole hour, he could parry Star's attack and start to counter her. And on the sixth day, he could fight her properly with Muay Thai, make her feel like she is fighting with some professional like her, except for his stamina.

But no matter how shock she was, the training must carry on. Star starts to train Hoshi Thai sword technique name Ardtamhat. It is a dual swords technique that focuses on speed and hits the enemy from many angles.

First, Star gives him wooden swords which look like shorten versions of katana and let him wield them in both hands. This step is very hard for him since his bodies don't train enough to handle something like this. It made his wrists ache a little bit.

But despite the pain, Hoshi knows this technique is very suitable for him who is a speed-type.

Ardtamhat was designed to fight an enemy that comes from many ways and the footwork could be used either on flat ground or on the hill due to Thailand's geography. In the other meaning, If he uses this technique as a base, he could fight in almost all terrain and will be improved as long as he is fast enough.

He feels happy to learn a good technique and Star is happy to see this monster struggles like ordinary people. But this feeling exists just the time that training swords, Star needs to struggle as usual when having a spare fight using Muay Thai, and the more she fought, the more it hard to beat Hoshi.

These torments continue to almost the end of this course. Especially when Hoshi starts to learn how to use swords properly, it made her a little jealous. Jealous his talent, jealous that he could enroll HUA...

Although she is a girl, Star's dream is to become a famous dragon hunter so people will know this school and have a lot of disciples. Sadly, she has mana allergic. Her body couldn't absorb mana to increase vigor like normal people, she needs pure mana about six to seven times from normal people to have an uncommon or intermediate level vigor. This isn't something that Lerd Rith school could afford even it is famous school

This the biggest thorn in her heart, she has a teacher, endeavor, and even family resource, the only thing she lacks is luck.

Due to these reasons, it would be a lie if she says she didn't feel envious of Hoshi. Bringing him to train with kids is her desire to embarrass him a little bit too. So seeing Hoshi improving with a terrifying state made her felt more and more envious.

And at the last, everything exploded in the last day. Hoshi has a last sparring fight with her for the last time, this time they use both wooden swords and Muay Thai, using both weapon and their bodies.

The fighting progresses fiercely. Both pairs of their swords are clashing nonstop, sometimes they will use their foot, knees, or elbows to attack at short range. If someone who doesn't know anything looks at it, they might think this is a fight between two masters instead of a teacher and student who starts just two weeks.

'Relax, relax. I must find an opportunity before my stamina running out' Hoshi thought to himself. He must admit that Star is very strong, he barely keeps up whit her even he boost his body with vigor. He is no match for her neither power or experience so he must find an opportunity and finishes it with a lethal blow.

It doesn't take him long, after fighting for about a couple minutes. Star looks a little bit impatient. Then, she sends a kick which makes her guard down for a moment. He didn't miss this action and slid through her attack, use his elbow to jolt her chest which made Star stunned and swing his two swords at her head.

Star loses her balance from this combo and widens her eyes with disbelief

"I...lost."

"It is a very good fight, Star. If I couldn't catch that opportunity I must be lost for real." Hoshi smiles and lends her his hand. This action wasn't different from what master did to his disciple, it injured her emotion greatly till her tears start to run down.

"It's so unfair...so unfair." She gritted her teeth and swung her hand to slap Hoshi's face.

"Wah, What are you..." He dodges with ease and asked nervously, that made her felt embarrassed even more.

"You...sob sob...You monster. How could you...sob...Have such a great talent while I...sob... Waaa!! It's so unfair!!!" She cried and run away, left him startled like that.

"Did I...make something wrong?"

[Yeah, you should just take that slap, kid]
