Another different kind of alien, showing up from right behind me out of nowhere and unmistakably talking to me just now. I knew it must be since there was no one and nothing else inside the large hangar!
"It took us some time to be finally be able to meet you directly, but here we are." The alien opened both of its arms.
The alien had a distinctive appearance compared to the snapping turtle behemoth and the other elite alien troops; not as big and built like the behemoth although still a little taller than the elite grunts.
Both the turtle behemoth and the elite troops had fin-like ears, but this alien had a pair of elf-like ears which were notably quite small although wide. Its skin was the very same gray color like the other two kinds, but it did not have the same blood red eyes like the elite troops. It was instead a pair of large and pretty slanted jade blue eyes. Its nose was narrow, but very pointy like a playground slide.
I had a slightly hard time believing that there would actually be an alien, whose teeth were not all fangs or canines. The alien in front of me surprisingly had a mouth feature like human's from the teeth to the lips. The jaw and chin however, was clearly strong and durable shown by its straight and stiff lines.
This alien right in front of me… it must have a completely different role than that behemoth and the other elite troops.
Is it… their commander? Or even perhaps this entire voyager's commander?
"If you do not mind, Major… may I request you to respond to what I have to say now?" it slowly opened its right hand towards me, as if it tried to signal me that it meant no harm.
Well, maybe not yet at least….
"First of all, it is completely concerning, cautioning, and alerting for me that your kind turns out to be able to speak in my language." I still held my handgun tightly, with my finger at the trigger ready to fire at its forehead between both of it eyes anytime.
"I completely understand that." It nodded right away. "After all, who would not be surprised to find out that there is indeed a whole different life form far out there, and is able to communicate with us all the way?"
Wait, 'us'? Is it trying to tell me that its kind had not expected that there were also living creatures outside whatever planet they were coming from?
If that is so, then technically speaking we are also termed as 'aliens' to them, then?
"Point your handgun at my forehead all the way you like if that will make you more comfortable, Major." The Alien took a couple of steps back and continued as it began to head for a spot in the opposite end of the hangar.
"I need to show you something, on behalf of my kind, while we are still inside this voyager anyway."
So this gigantic aircraft IS a voyager and not a mothership!
I slowly followed it while keeping my distance of no less than five meters, just in case it had itself a hidden beam spear or something. Of course, I had no intention at all of removing my handgun aim pointing towards it since I still consider it as a threat, that tried to lure me elsewhere.
"You may be surprised upon seeing, hearing, and realizing various things that I am about to reveal regarding everything that has taken place up until the present, Major." The alien tapped a same spot twice on one of the walls, before it hid both of its hands behind its back.
A revelation?
Just then, the floor around me and the alien slowly began to get lifted up, carrying both me and the alien closer to the hangar ceiling. When we were about two thirds of the distance between the ceiling and the floor, it quickly slid open, revealing to me that it had just activated the elevator as the only access to the next floor.
But what came right after it completely took me by surprise….
No less than fifty aliens had been waiting on the fourth floor, lined up very neatly and had their beam spears turned on!
"What the-?!" I immediately switched my aim to their heads, switching between one to the other and not sure which one to fire first.
However, the alien beside me calmly lifted his right hand, and the rest of the whole elite aliens lowered their beam spears as they turned them off.
So this alien beside me is indeed their commander, and not that behemoth….
Then, is that behemoth its second-in-command?
"Please follow me, Major Xenov…." The alien commander gave his right hand away towards a wide path created by the gaps between the elite alien troops lining up, which seemed to lead to another large chamber on its end.
I could no longer contain myself to give my thoughts so far about this to the alien commander….
"You have rounded up quite some troops just for me I see." I scoffed a little. "So much for just one tiny human, do not you think?"
"Why indeed, Major." It nodded right away. "They are in fact, rather scared of you…."
Scared… of me?
"My most trusted General gave the order to my troops to not engage you no matter what, yet there was still one among his unit who tried to subdue you." It sighed.
"Guess it did not work out well for it." I chuckled a little.
"I believe 'not work out well' is even too kind of a word to use for him, Major." It clarified. "If anything, he only embarrassed himself by losing to you, and more so because you countered him bare-handed."
Ah, so that is why these aliens lining up on both of our sides are afraid of me….
They now believe that I can even fight them bare-handed, and therefore these large numbers of them are to protect their commanders should anything happens….
"On behalf of that incident, and as a representation of my General's apology, I believe you deserve an explanation directly from me, Major…." It stopped and tapped its right hand toward the door to the chamber again, opening the access to the inside.
The first thing that both my eyes saw was a large, spherical and porous rock, just sitting idly by right in the middle of the large chamber. Just to its left side, was the very same amphibious tank that I had faced earlier together with Yeon's unit.
Wait, this means that this floor is the just below the top hatch of the voyager where their gunship landed this tank….
Then, it was also transporting this large rock earlier, too?
No wonder it took the gunship quite some time before flying again. But, well it was thanks to that I was able to get in, though….
"I believe that your kind's arrival to this part of archipelago was because of this stone, Major?" The Alien Commander headed to an octagonal table, pressed a button on it, showing a large holograph to the right side of the large rock.
Showing the exact location of where they had found the rock, the holograph also showed me the footage of every detailed second of how and when the rock entered the earth atmosphere, and finally crashed in the middle of the sea near the Franz Josef Land, the location of the whole operation.
This rock, is the meteor that caused the compass needle and hand watch disruptions due to the extreme magnetic field!
"I will now explain the origin of this rock, as I believe it will help your kind understand what you are trying to find out." It began.
