Chapter 414 - It's over

A low, endearing voice rang in her ears, hooking her heart.

Luo Qiao's fingers paused for a moment. She didn't know if it was because she had touched the side of the coffee cup, but her fingertips were burning.

She slowly retracted her hand and sat on the office chair. She leaned back, and the corners of her mouth curved up unconsciously.

Ming Siran could not hear her voice for a long time, so he raised his voice and said, " "Eh? Reply, little sister Qiao Qiao."

Luo Qiao lowered her eyes and pulled the documents in front of her over. She pursed her lips and replied after a while, " "Yingluo."

She seemed to hear him suddenly chuckling, " "Just this?"

"This one."

After a while, he lazily smiled and agreed. He didn't force her. He was really busy over there. He didn't even have time to rest after getting off the plane and had to deal with all kinds of things. He also had some time to make this call. After saying a few words to her and telling her that he was safe, he hung up the phone.

Luo Qiao looked at her phone until it went black before she put it aside and started to read the information again.

However, she was in a much better mood than before she received the call.

……

Shen shengkong's funeral ended in a light rain.

His parents did not appear.

Perhaps Shen bohong and Ling Chu resented him for giving all his assets to an outsider, or perhaps it was because they didn't care, they didn't even come to meet him.

Even though it was a funeral, Shen shengkong's ashes were not in the grave.

Dressed in all black, Luo Qiao stood in front of the gravestone, quietly looking at the man who had left her in her youth forever.

The man in the photo had outstanding facial features and a pair of eyes under his black hair was slightly lighter in color. He still had that familiar expressionless face.

Beside him, Shen chengkong's subordinate Zhou Xu stared at the person in the photo with bloodshot eyes. He held a black umbrella in his hand and was Fanning it for Luo Qiao. Raindrops slid down the umbrella and dripped onto the ground, making a soft sound.

Zhou Xu turned his head and glanced at Luo Qiao. The woman had her hair tied up in a simple bun. She was not wearing any jewelry and her face was bare. No emotions could be seen on her face.

He couldn't guess what she was feeling right now.

Master chose this result for her and he respected his master's wishes. He didn't want to blame anyone, but of course, he didn't feel that there was anything to blame. He just wanted to know how she was feeling right now and how she saw him.

Other than the pitter-patter of the rain, nothing else could be heard. However, in the nearly an hour that she had been standing there, Luo Qiao had not said a single word from beginning to end. She only looked at the man's photo quietly, her expression silent.

It was as if they were the only two people left in the cemetery. The sky gradually darkened, and it was only when Zhou Xu's arm, which was holding the umbrella, felt numb that Luo Qiao snapped out of her daze. She looked away from the photo and averted her gaze.

"Let's go," he said calmly.

"Yes." Zhou Xu lowered his head.

His shoes stepped on the stone Road that was covered with rain. The surroundings were misty, and a season was about to pass.

Luo Qiao got into the car and looked at the cemetery that was getting further and further away.

She lowered her gaze.

It had all ended.

……

Ming Siran was very busy with work, and Luo Qiao had a lot of things to deal with. For the next half a month, the only contact the two of them had was that one phone call before they went to bed.

However, due to the time difference, it was already midnight at Ming Siran's place by the time Luo Qiao was done with her work.
