The next afternoon, Wen Yan finally got to see Jian Yiling.
"Yiling…" Wen Yan called out. His brows were slightly furrowed and it appeared as though he was a bit nervous.
There were a lot of things that he wanted to say to Jian Yiling. However, when he saw her, he only managed to get out the word 'Yiling'.
Jian Yiling nodded at him.
Then, Jian Yiling brought over some freshly picked loquat fruit and placed it on Wen Yan's bedside table.
In China, it was currently winter. However, as Lahaisen Island was located in the tropics, winter essentially did not exist.
There were quite a few fruit trees on the island.
"Did you climb trees again?" Wen Yan asked.
Jian Yiling shook her head before she replied: "I used a ladder."
Wen Yan's mind conjured up the image of Jian Yiling picking loquat fruits on top of a ladder.
After a pause, Jian Yiling said: "These fruits are for you to eat. Thank you for saving me."
