First-year students at Far Moon High School numbered 981, but counting last year's holdovers, the total exceeded a thousand.

The third-year students were even fewer, probably just a dozen or so, and each one was a familiar face. These third-year students mingled in the examination crowd, and through their cooking, they were easily recognizable. Their culinary skills were well-honed and sophisticated.
