Chen Guoguo put down her chopsticks and smiled faintly at the middle-aged woman sitting on the other side of the dining table.
However, when her gaze moved to the two empty seats next to the dining table, her eyes dimmed slightly.
"I'm going back to my room."
She paused for a moment before speaking.
Having finished speaking, she stood up and headed to the bedroom upstairs.

"Guoguo, you're going to be in ninth grade next year. Don't play games for too long. If it affects your school performance, Mr. Chen and the others will be upset."
Chen Guoguo's pace halted, and she laughed at herself sarcastically:
"Upset? They're too busy making money to bother getting upset with me."
