Chapter 21 - Death to All Who Touch My Sister!
Dong! Dong! Dong!
At six in the evening, a knock came from the security door of Floor 19, Unit 1.
Tiptoeing before the door, Chen Erke was stunned to see Chen Yu's figure through the peephole. She hurriedly opened the door and pounced on Chen Yu happily, saying, "Big Brother, you're back!"
"Mhm."
"Why are you back so early today?"
"I have some business," Chen Yu said as he ruffled Chen Erke's head. He then picked her up, turned around, and introduced her to the adults behind him, "Principal Pang and Teacher Niu, this is my little sister."
"Hello, little friend," Principal Pang said, smiling while extending his plump hand in an attempt to pet Chen Erke's head as well.
However, before Principal Pang could do so, Chen Yu moved Chen Erke away in disgust. Chen Erke was his precious little sister. How could he possibly let other men casually touch her?
Moreover, to do so right in front of him?
Was the principal tired of living?
"Brother, why are you back so soon today… Huh? They are…" Chen Yike, who had made her way over from the living room, asked, her words trailing off when she noticed the teachers standing behind Chen Yu.
"Come in. Change your shoes here," Chen Yu said as he passed three pairs of slippers to Principal Pang, Niu Lanshan, and his form teacher. He then introduced them to Chen Yike, "Eldest, this is my school's principal, Principal Pang. This here is my school's PE teacher, Niu Lanshan. This here is my form teacher."
"Greetings, teachers!" Chen Yike greeted and bowed in an extremely polite manner. "My brother's mischievous behavior must've caused you all a lot of trouble."
"What a well-mannered young lady!"
Chen Yike's decent etiquette surprised Niu Lanshan. Subconsciously, he extended his hand in an attempt to pet Chen Yike's head as well. However, Chen Yu mercilessly stopped him from doing so.
This muscle-brain! I knew he wasn't anything good! Chen Yu cursed inwardly. On the surface, though, his expression remained unchanged as he said to Chen Yike, "Eldest, quickly serve some tea to the three teachers."
"Okay," Chen Yike responded before making her way to the kitchen to brew tea.
"Eldest, are Mom and Dad not home yet?"
"No, but I've cooked the rice already. Mom will cook the dishes when she gets back."
"That won't be necessary," Chen Yu said, waving his hand. He then pointed at the three men behind him and said, "Principal Pang is going to treat us to a meal. We'll eat out tonight."
"Huh?" Principal Pang was stunned by Chen Yu's words. However, he quickly responded, nodding and saying, "Right, that's correct. I'll treat you all to dinner. We'll head out to eat once your parents are back."
"This…" Chen Yike felt awkward in this situation.
"There's nothing to be embarrassed about," Chen Yu said indifferently.
"…Right, this is something I should do as a principal," Principal Pang said.
After leading the three guests to the living room and serving them tea, Chen Yike hurriedly dragged Chen Yu to a corner and worriedly asked, "Brother! Did you cause trouble again?! Why is the principal here?!"
"…Explaining everything will take some time. Give Mom and Dad a call and have them come back quickly."
"Is it bad news?"
"You can consider it bad news, but you can also consider it not bad."
"Just what is it?!" Chen Yike demanded anxiously.
"It's fine, it's fine. Just hurry up and give them a call. It's just a little trouble. It can't be considered bad news."
After pushing Chen Yike away, Chen Yu sat at the edge of the sofa and filled three cups with piping hot tea before filling his glass with Cola. He then raised his glass, fully expressing his hospitality as he said, "Come, drink up!"
Chen Yu's words rendered Principal Pang, Niu Lanshan, and Chen Yu's form teacher speechless.
"Feel at home. No need to be polite here," Chen Yu said before he happily emptied his glass.
Feeling slightly awkward in this situation, Principal Pang turned to look at Chen Erke, who sat beside him. Upon noticing the lack of expression on the girl's face, he changed the topic and said, "Student Chen Yu, your little sister seems to be in a bad mood."
"That's natural," Chen Yu said as he placed his empty glass on the coffee table. Leaning back on the sofa, he explained, "You're sitting on her bed. It's natural for her to be unhappy."
"Huh? Ah! Is that the case? I'm sorry, little girl," Principal Pang said as he shifted his butt away slightly from Chen Erke.
Of course, he only managed to move half a centimeter.
"Principal…" Since everyone was looking at each other in silence, Chen Yu decided to try one last time and said in a near-begging tone, "Sports really isn't to my liking. I only wish to study properly—"
"Pfff!"
Before Chen Yu could even finish speaking, Chen Erke burst out in laughter.
His expression darkening, Chen Yu turned to his little sister and asked, "What are you laughing at?"
"I suddenly thought of something funny."
"…"
"Look! Even your little sister knows you don't have a future in studying!" Chen Yu's form teacher interrupted. "You should focus on developing your strong points!"
"My brother is good at long jump!" Chen Erke said, raising her hand. "He's very amazing!"
"You know how to long jump as well?" Niu Lanshan's eyes glowed immediately.
"Keep your mouth shut!" Chen Yu said as he hurriedly covered Chen Erke's mouth. He then fiercely shook his head and said, "I can't. I can't even jump across manhole covers."
"We'll go through the various track-and-field events tomorrow and see which one you're best at," Niu Lanshan said as he crossed his arms. With an expectant look, he continued, "With how fast you can run, you definitely won't have any problems with long jump. We can also give high jump a try."
"Spare me…"
Chen Yu truly felt like crying right now. If not for the surveillance system having recorded his running speed before, he would definitely run barefoot before Niu Lanshan right now to prove himself as trash.
"Teachers, have some fruit," Chen Yike said as she returned from the kitchen with a simple platter of fruits.
"Young lady, you are very well-mannered," Principal Pang said. After taking a sip of his tea, he asked, "Which school are you from? I can assign you to a good class if you come to Sixth High in the future."
Upon hearing Principal Pang's words, Chen Yu could not help growing anxious. However, before he could even open his mouth, Chen Erke said fearlessly, "Doesn't that mean my sister's future is ruined?"
"Ah!" Principal Pang's hand trembled when he heard Chen Erke's words, sloshing some of the hot tea in the cup he held on his lips and scalding them.
Niu Lanshan: "…"
Form teacher: "…"
Meanwhile, Chen Yike stomped her foot as she demanded angrily, "Erke! How can you speak such nonsense?!"
"That's right!" Chen Yu was delighted when he heard Chen Erke's words. On the surface, however, he maintained a displeased look as he lightly tapped Chen Erke's head and said, "Even if it's the truth, you shouldn't say it out loud! Understand? (Little sister! Good job!)"
The three teachers: "…"
After hearing Chen Yu's words, Chen Erke lowered her head and said, "My bad. (Amazing, right?!)"
"Hurry up and apologize to the three teachers. (Taunt them! Taunt them! Kick them while they're down!)"
"Tea-Teachers, I'm sorry. Sixth High is still a good school. It is thanks to my big brother accidentally entering Sixth High that my elder sister and I realized the importance of studying. (Leave it to me!)"
The three teachers: "…"
"Forget it. Stop speaking. Head back to Mom and Dad's room to take care of Third Eldest. (Beautifully done! Now, escape quickly!)"
"Okay. (Hehe, I got praised.)" Chen Yike then lowered her head and grabbed the edges of her shirt before pitifully leaving the living room.
"Teachers, don't take it seriously. Those are only a child's babblings," Chen Yu said before hurriedly refilling his glass with Cola. He then used his now-opaque glass to cover his irrepressibly curling lips as he said, "Let me apologize on behalf of my little sister, haha—burp…"
The three teachers: "…"
