Chapter 36 - Third-Class Little Stars Are Better Than You

An Mu was clenching her teeth, but she felt the man who was laying on her had suddenly stopped his actions.

She opened her eyes and saw that Feng Xiao's sharp gaze was oozing a cold glare.

His narrow and long eyes were as deep as the groundwater in an ancient well, appearing frosty and chilly.

Realizing that he would not continue, An Mu was relieved.

When An Mu thought that Feng Xiao would not move anymore, his head suddenly went down again!

An Mu shrank, and her body became stiff. She forcefully looked down and turned her head. His lips grazed the corners of her lips and fell on her face.

'What is this man doing now?!'

While she was thinking that, she saw that Feng Xiao was leaning over the sofa with his hands and holding her between his arms. He was so close to her face that his chin slid across her lips.

The smile on Feng Xiao's lips became more bewitched and evil. "Oh, have you changed your mind? That was quick."

An Mu bit her lip and dared not speak.

As An Mu was wondering what the man's next action would be, he stood up again.

He looked at An Mu condescendingly and said something ironic, unpleasant, and despicable. "Dear niece, even the third-class little stars are better at pleasing men than you. Hmph, the world is cruel. You better stay in school!"

Once he was done talking, he strode away without looking back.

An Mu's eyes were wide open, shocked because of his words.

She bit her lip tightly. Her whole body was completely paralyzed on the sofa, and her head was filled with the humiliating scenes that just happened and that last sentence he left behind.

What did he mean?

Comparing her with third-class stars in showbiz?

Could it be... Did he discover that she was Tang Xia?

That sentence he left behind was like a warning to her that she could not survive in show business.

An Mu closed her eyes.

A tear fell from the corner of her eye.

To the nobles and the rich, actors were like ancient opera singers who had a low status and were not respected by anyone.

If her parents were still alive, they would certainly object to her decision of joining the entertainment industry.

However...

Ever since she was ten years old, she had been acting as another person in the Feng Family.

She skipped classes and secretly practiced acting and performing just to make herself look more natural while she was playacting.

Her teacher had told her that acting could be addictive.

An Mu's clenched fist slowly loosened.

Performing different roles was like experiencing different people's lives.

Moreover, ever since she was young, she hardly had a chance to learn other skills aside from acting in order to protect herself. Acting was her only strength.

'In this case, why can't I use something I like doing and am good at to exchange it for something that I want?'

An Mu took a deep breath and stood up from the sofa.

She silently walked to the mirror. She looked at the timid and ordinary woman in the reflection, and curled up her lips into a smile. "An Mu, work harder! You can do this!"

The next day, An Mu went to school dejectedly.

She stood outside Teacher Wu's office, wandering around the area, and could not get herself to go in.

When she cheered herself for the third time and told herself that she could do it, she walked toward the office door, but she was still too timid and did not dare to knock on the door. However, Teacher Wu's office door suddenly opened.

In an instant, An Mu had to face Teacher Wu. They looked into each other's eyes.
