Chapter 3: Side-effect
Flashback- before Yuu visited Akiko san
After giving proper burial to Izumi's mother, Yuu took her to the base in forest. As he was tired, he thought to take rest and slept for few hours.
When he woke up, Izumi was standing near him with a worried expression
Yuu: What happened? Why make that face?
Izumi: Finally you woke up…
Yuu, didn't understand her words.
Yuu: What are you saying?
Izumi: Huh?... You don't know?

Izumi: How long do you sleep?
Yuu: Just a few hours I guess..
Izumi: Really? You slept for 2 days straight…
Yuu: HUH!!!
Yuu, was shocked to hear this, but he thought maybe she was playing a prank but her face was serious thus he relized, she is saying truth.
Izumi: I was really worried when I saw you, sleeping for whole one day but when I feel your heartbeat, I was relieved as it was not that dangerous. But when the next day you still didn't wake up, I got panic. I even cut your hand hoping you will wake up but still not.
Izumi: *Crying* You don't know how worried I was, Few days before I lost my family and clan and then I thought I will loose a friend also. *tears fall from her face* I was thinking if today also you didn't wake up, I will bring someone.
Yuu: *warm smile* Sorry for making you worry.
Izumi: *clearning her tears* But why were you in that state?
Yuu scratched his head and tried to remember why but then he remembered that he had used Byakugan to alter someones memory.
Yuu: Ahh, I remember, it must be backlash after using my byakugan to alter that anbu's memory.
Izumi: *her eyes were wide* You, can change memories?
Her voice had shackyness in it.
Yuu: Yeah, it seems so. At first it was just a theory, but when I was trying to save you, I used all of my chakra on my byakugan and finally may me thory reality. But still the pain when using it is just…
Saying that Yuu put his hand on his left eye.
Izumi: Thanks for saving me and please I think its better to never use the power to full extent where it could leave to such dangerous after effect.
Yuu: I don't think so, the after effect is that dangerous afterall, it's a few days sleep only…
Izumi: *with angry face* REALLY?!!! But let me remind you I cut your hands to wake you up, but you didn't show any sings of pain or anything, which means in this state, anyone can kill you and you yourself cant woke up.
Listening to this Yuu, got into a deep thought, he cant use byakugans power to full extent after all who know what worst is waiting for him. As he knew that he cant have such great power with no price to pay in return.
Yuu also remembered the moment when he used his Byakugan to full, and how his chakra end up in a blink, though he restored it later but the amount it used and the biggest feature of all, he dint need to look into the eyes of the enemy.
Yuu, from his naruto anime remembers that Kaguya had to look into the eyes of the enemy to read their thought but he did it without looking into it. And the price was just 2 days sleep. There is no way this is truth. Yuu understood the power his Byakugan posses and he also knows that there will be some price to pay but maybe because this was his first time he didn't loose anything.
Yuu nodded to Izumi's word and promise to awaken this power only when there is a critical situation.
After this, Yuu visit the military headquarter and gave his resignation. Though they were sad to have him leave put they accepted his resignation.
In this world money is not that much needed, so he didn't worry much about the money and left the job.
After this he collected all his stuff and told Izumi to prepare herself as they will be leaving the place and will be visiting an old friend very soon.
Izumi followed his word and packed her stuff which were only few weapons.
At night—
Izumi: What are you holding?
Yuu opened his palm, in his palm was 2 pairs of small balls. When Izumi looked carefully, she was shocked to know that it was eyes, but not normal one, as they were red in color.
