They charge at me and I head to take a hit. Except I draw back quickly. An arrow! One of the knights still stands by Dylan. An archer! A spear comes to hit me from behind, but I dodge. A sword from the commander comes charging from the front. It misses me by a hair.
A sword user, spear user, archer, and magic… I glance up at the sneer on Dylan's face. The smoke fills the air as I become more and more tired, facing the strongest of Kindle Kingdom.
"Tired already?" Dylan snickers.
I smirk at him and release the spell: Change of Heart.
"Wha? Not that trick again!"
He backs away as I control the group to assassinate him.
"S-stop!" the commander tries to control his body, but this was all he could muster out.
I smile, "Nope!"
The group is quite stubborn, but finally makes it to Dylan, surrounding him and with a joyous moment, stops his heart.
"Finished?" King walks into the room and murders the rest of the people in the room.
"Yeah"
King cleans off his sword and sheathes it. His bloodlust fades as he nears me, covered in blood.
"It's over," I sigh.
"It's over," he repeats.
I smile at King and look out at the bright sun.
Ryan and Justin also enter the room and smile.
After a lot of sorting out and putting out the fire, we clean up the city and treat the injured. I shout orders all day long until finally, we come to a rest.
"You should take a rest," Trisha says worriedly.
"Yeah, I'll cook dinner," Veronica says.
I nod tiredly and lie down. I let the voices of those outside drown me as they get drunk partying. I wake up late at night, hearing the sound of someone playing a soothing lullaby on the violin. I walk out to see that it is King playing it. I step out a few steps and he notices. He stops and turns around.
I glance over at the snoring bodies on the ground, all sleeping with an angelic smile.
"We did it," I whisper.
My stomach rumbles as I blush, embarrassed.
"I'll go get something to eat," I say.
King nods and plays his lullaby again. I munch on some cookies and noodles as King plays. Sometime after, I nod off too, as the notes seem to enchant me into a dream.
The next morning, I wake up brightly, the best I've been in days. Apparently, I somehow got onto my bed and slept quite soundly.
"Rebels! Gather up!" I call out happily.
"What is it?" They ask with smiles on their face.
"So, I believe that we should choose our next leader of this Kingdom," I say with a serious face.
"You mean that?" one of the teenage men calls out, "Isn't it already decided?"
