Chapter 3 - Chapter 2

The smell got worse and worse the closer they got to the village. At this point all of them were worried about what exactly they were running into.

The path became clear and what they saw made Bobo's whole world turn upside down, it was a raging fire. Ash and black smoke filled the air. Almost every house was set a blaze. Cubs screaming and running, pigs squealing and wolves howling. It was a total disaster.

But out of all of the chaos only one thing seem to really catch her eye,her den. It was covered in flames.

Bobo didn't know what to do. Should she get out of the area like everybody else, or go for it? Before she could process everything she just ran for it. She didn't know why but she ran.

As soon as she reached the door she picked up a log to break it down. Once she was inside she saw how the fire, was every where. There was almost no place that wasn't covered in flames. Every breath she took, was deadly and the smoke make her vision all hazy with the unbearable burning in her eyes. She struggled to find her way through, but for some reason the most clear thing she saw was her necklace. Dangling off of what use to be her bookshelf.

Her necklace, the last thing her mother gave her, was now inches away from scorching flames just waiting to eat it up.

She had to focus, but how could she? She had only been there for a minute but it was already hard for her to breath.

Just then she heard something hit the ground. The sound was alarming, it felt as if her heart would pop right out of her chest. What could that be? Bobo turned her head in the direction of the sound. Although the flames made it hard to see, it was clear what happened.

The wall was collapsing.

Sparks of ash flew everywhere; she tried to step on a piece of wood, only for it to crumble under her weight. She needed to think of something fast, how could she reach her necklace?

Without thinking she jumped straight into the flames. Just as she was about to grab her necklace, a piece of debris slammed into her, knocking the air right out of her lungs.

There she laid trapped under what use to be a remnant of her home. " How could this happen? I was right there ," Bobo said to herself. She tried to lift herself up only for her only legs to give up and dropping into the ground.

She had used up all her energy. There was no way she could get out of this. The fire was only getting bigger.

At this point she couldn't even keep her eyes open. This is it, she thought before finally closing her eyes. The last thing she saw was her necklace still hanging from the same spot.
