Having erased part of the magic circle like a erasing a mark on a whiteboard, Grim looked at the fortune teller and came up with an ingenius method to reap benefits from this divorce without any drawbacks.
'Heh.' He grinned flaring up his magic power.
"W-What are you doing!!" The fortune teller's eyes went wide when she saw him start walking back towards the circle.
Ignoring her and focusing on the task at hand, Grim used [Crazy Cutting]
to shave away at the parts that would negatively effect him, effectively reworking the contract to his benefit. It was just a shame that
he didn't know how to write magical formulas since he could have just
rewritten the contract instead of just instinctively removing some
words.
Since the magic circle dictated that only those who left its area of effect of their own free will would lose everything to their partner, he was unable to push the fortune teller out as the contract could backfire on him since she wasn't leaving of her own free will. But what if he used his [Beast magic] to erase the parts of the contract that stated that? Would the effect vanish? Would he still be bound to the fortune teller?
While he may not be able to read the words in the magic circle himself, one of his past lives seemed to be experienced in magic circle formulas. From that he was able to instinctively avoid the parts of the contract that specifically targeted him and his magic.
Ignoring his screaming wife, he kept erasing more and more parts of the magic circle until he was throughly satisfied.
'That should do it.'
"W-What have you done?!" The fortune teller screamed feeling something change within the contract and the marriage brand on her hand.
"I'm having you pay alimony." He grinned.
"Ali what?"
Before she could recieve her answer, a large pulse of white magical energy burst out from the magic circle on the floor a lit up the entire room!
"My eyes!!" The fortune teller shrieked.
Following the burst of magical energy, the magical circle on the floor started to reform itself back into a proper circular shape and not some weird blotted mess with holes in it.
"What the hell!!"
Feeling a warm throbbing sensation on the back of their hands, both husband and wife looked down at the marriage brand signifying their marriage and saw that the mark had started to glow as it synced up to the new contract rules.
'Hmm?'
"I-Impossible..." The fortune teller stuttered as a look of horror surfaced on her face. "You changed the terms of the contract!"
"Yep!" He grinned and stuffed his hands in his pockets. "Life's all about winning and losing, a divorce is no different."
"So you lost at rock paper scissors and marriage... This just ain't your day is it?"
"AAAGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!" She screamed and charged him.
"My ex is crazy... Never thought I'd ever say that." He laughed seeing her rushing towards him.
Right as she was about to scratch his face, the fortune teller suddenlly found herself down on her knees and bleeding from her eyes, ears and mouth while experiencing unimaginable pain.
'What is this!'
Unable to utter a sound due to the pain of opening her mouth, Grim held her by the chin and raised her head so that she was looking up at him and he was looking down on her.
"The previous contract stated that if you do anything that could jeopardise our marriage you would lose everything. But fear not!" He joked. "I erased the part about you losing everything and used some of the left over parts to put you in a state of unimaginable pain. Of course this only a one way deal though." He smirked.
Looking up at him with tears of blood rolling down her face, an expression of rage covered her face.
"Ah, don't look like that." He laughed. "Its not like your losing too much. I only get to keep your [Divination Magic], most of your mana, and made it so you're unable to fight, betray or scheme against me lest you want to wind up in this painful situation everytime. Oh? Why do you look so surprised? I told you that I only erased the part about you losing everything and making this a one way deal... Oh! You're probably thinking that this shouldn't be possible right!" Realization dawned on him before it turned into a chuckle.
"It actually wasn't that hard. Since I couldn't replace the word marriage in the contract, I used my magic to cut the bond between me and the magic circle making it so that I was no longer bound by the contract. That being said, I kept my link to you active! And since you're connected to both me and the magic circle, you have no choice but to abide by the terms of the contract!!" He laughed.
[A/n: People actually forget that Grim is intelligent, he just prefers to use violence to solve his problems.]
Listening to him explain how he had not only screwed her but also her mother's life work, the fortune teller didn't need to use her [Divination Magic] to see her future. By removing himself from the contract but keeping their bond active and making it a one way exchange, he could receive all the benefits from her thanks to the branded mark on their hands while not being chained by the contract's rules. He had effectively turned her into his servant for life. She couldn't betray him, hurt him or do anything remotely detrimental that could potentially harm him. He had turned her mother's only method of protecting her into a tool to restrict her! And to make matters even worse, he didn't even have to do any of this! Since he had the ability to erase the contract with his magic, he could have just done so and left. But NO!! He intentionally chose to rework the contract and force her into servitude just for the shits and giggles!
Seeing that she had figured everything out, Grim couldn't help but think about just how great a night this was.
He had not only lost his virginity and gained influence throughout the kingdom, he had also gotten himself another slave. Besides the combat focused Nebra Silva, he now had one that could see the future to a degree. If used correctly, she could bring him countless benefits.
As for how she lost their little game of rock paper scissors, Grim simply read her ki the moment they both threw their hands forward and chose the correct handsign to win.
Like he said, his future wasn't something a human could see.
