Chapter 2 - Reincarnation 17

So it turns out that God majorly fucked up when he sent me here.

Mistake number 1, that fucker didn't give me Reinhard's appearance like he promised! No, he gave me generic black hair like a fucking pleb and made my eyes yellow. Not that my appearance was bad or anything, but it wasn't what I asked for. I'm half tempted to kill myself just so I can go back to the God realm and slap the shit out of that petty asshole.

Mistake number 2, I'm pretty sure that prick reincarnated me into the territory of the Witches Forest!

Now you're probably wondering how I know all this right? Well that brings me to mistake number 3.

Mistake number 3, that ass clown fucked up my memories! Instead of getting all my core memories, I got fragments of memories of my 12th life (Earth). Most of them were useless and the ones that weren't useless we're too blurry to be useful. So while I remember somethings about this world like my current location, things like the main character's name and face elude me. I might as well have been walking in blind.

But the good news about this was that I remembered some key things about this world. Like the fact that by the time I turn 15, I need to go to a grimoire tower in order to attend the grimoire acceptance ceremony.

But first, I need to get out of this forest alive... Hopefully without running into any witches...

Oh! That brings me to mistake number 4, instead of reincarnating me into the world like usual, that small dicked loser reincarnated me into the body of a 10 year old and left a message in my head telling me that the main story will start in 5 years. Then he started laughing about the fact that I had less time to train and become overpowered.

If you know me well, you'll know that I tend to go a little crazy when it comes to training. I believe the people of earth called it over-leveling. I like to be strong to the point that I don't have to worry about dying or receiving damage. But 5 years was to short of a time for me to completely curbstomp the people of this world. Plus, with the current state of my body, I'd need three years just to get it into a state that I'd deem acceptable for normal training, not to mention that I also need to train my battle instincts to adapt to this new body.

*Sigh* "I better get started."

---

-3 years later-

*Inhale* *Exhale* *Inhale* *Exhale*

Surrounded by trees on all sides, the sound of nature rang through the endless forest as the sight of a young bare chested black haired boy sitting cross legged could be seen by the surrounding birds. Breathing in a very peculiar rhythm, a soft grey like glow manifested itself around the boy's body and clung to him as if it was part of him.

Breathing softly, the boy slowly opened his yellow and let the grey glow on his body dissipate into nothing.

'I guess that's breath of the beast down.'

After training none stop in the forest fore the past 3 years, the serial reincarnator found that like everyone without a grimoire, he was able to use the mana in his body to use low level magic. Like Yuno who could make small gales, the reincarnator was able to utilize a swordless version of breath of the beast. And while he couldn't do anything special with it like cut trees with his bare hands, he found that utilizing this breathing technique increased his body's physical ability like reinforcement magic and also made him incredibly flexible.

Due to my location and current circumstance, Breath of the Beast made the most sense to learn. While breath of the wind or even breath of thunder would have been convenient, both breath styles wouldn't enhance my perception and sensory abilities like Breath of the Beast did. Thanks to this style, I've avoided being eaten by various different predators within the past 3 years.

After finishing my 5 hour long breathing practice, I picked up a self made gourd bottle and took a swig of water.

"Ah."

Now that my body had reached an acceptable level of fitness, it was time for me to start making my way to the Clover Kingdom. And while I didn't have all my memories, something inside of me was telling me to avoid going to the Witches Forest at all cost.

Packing my stuff up in a handmade backpack, I tied the gourd to my waist and headed north. Having gotten a handle on the Breath of the Beast breathing technique, the next logical step was to achieve Full focus breathing, a state in which I subconsciously use the breathing style. And thanks to my Elven bloodline and large mana pool, maintaining this state even when I'm asleep shouldn't be too much of a hassle.

Moving through the forest with purpose and confidence, I looked forward to the journey ahead. I might be weak right now, but when I get my hands on my grimoire, I'll make sure to have as much fun as I can while cutting down those that stand in my way.

Whistling to myself, it suddenly occurred to me that I hadn't even given myself a name.

'Looks like I was too focused on training.'

Looking down at my slim but toned arms, I can't help but nod at my body's current state. Realizing that I was losing track on my previous train of thought, I quickly snapped out of it and tried to focus on giving myself a name.

Looking at the dark forest around me, I couldn't help but think about how gloomy this place was.

"How grim." I muttered.

"Grim... Grim?.. GRIM!!"

That was it! The perfect name for me! While I may not remember what my original name was or what my name on earth was, doesn't the name Grim sound way cooler than anything I would usually come up with!

Okay, its decided, from now on, I shall be known as Grim!.. Yeah... Grim...
