Lijuan watched Shan with tears in her eyes. Even though she had known Shan trusted her, she hadn't expected Shan to stand up for her in this manner. Her love for Shan in that moment knew no bounds and she promised herself to repay Shan for this. Shan's loyalty made tears drop from Lijuan's eyes as she turned to look at her own blood sisters.
Rong saw the hurt look on Lijuan's face, and remembered she had looked at her the same way ten years ago when she had pleaded with her to believe her. She knew this was her last chance to stand up for her sister and make up for the mistake she had made those past years, "If you say you didn't take it, then I believe you." Rong said to Lijuan's relief, surprising even their parents.
"I believe you too." Jiaying said as she moved closer to where Lijuan was standing. If Shan could stand up for Lijuan, then so could they too.
