She looked at him in confusion. His lips was in a thin line and he pretended to be busy scratching the back of his head.
"What's this?" She asked as she took it from him.
"Look, you don't have to be very embarrassed, okay?" He said calmly.
"Oh really? A lot of people would freak out if they were me!" She pointed out.
"And I'm sorry this happened."
"Are you?" She asked accusingly.
"Come on!" He pleaded. "Look, I'm really worried about you and how you'd react later so I want you to know that I don't hate you for what happened."
If he wasn't looking very serious right now, she would have thought he was joking with her right now. She didn't know whether to laugh or to cry.
