Chapter 43 - Chapter 43: Mr 100% Perfect

POV: Grace

Now that I realize it... eating alone... is actually kind of sad... like I don't have anyone to talk to... just me, myself and I... and the thoughts of myself...

I silently continued eating my food in the cold and silent room that is my office... I don't know how Louie eats and lives like this... I mean his family is absolute dicks... kind of like him... but now I'm so lonely like this.... it kind of just feels horrible...

I sighed... putting away the lunch box in a corner and opening the packaging of my dessert which was the yogurt with fruits... I guess I'll just have to eat this... I mean this should be full of good bacteria. So it should be good for me. I never ate yogurt though... like ever...

I took a spoonful and I slowly put it in my mouth. "BLEH! This is why I never eat yogurt... it's all slimy and gross..." I make a disgusted face as I put away the yogurt... I guess I'm skipping that... Ugh... I really want candy... or chips...

Although... Louie should be calling me already... I wonder what's taking him so long...

Hmm. I looked at my phone... I guess I am a little lonely... why don't I call Greg... I grabbed my phone and dialed his phone number. To my surprise, he answered right away.

"Hi, Grace! What's up? How are you holding up there?" He said checking up on me.

"Sir you know you can just talk to Grace at her office instead of calling her right?" I hear an intern speaking.

"You are not supposed to listen to calls... also I'm pretty sure. Ms. Baltazar is busy with her paperwork... that's why she couldn't join us with lunch today." I hear one of the directors speaking.

Wait... Louie didn't join them for lunch? Well, I guess he doesn't really like eating with other people...

I whispered. "Do you mind going away from them for a second... and call Sungah with you... I need to talk to you about something."

"Oh sure." I hear a thud sound of Greg standing up and going farther from the chatter and noise of the cafeteria.

"So what's happening there right now?" I asked them.

"I think it's going great... although a lot of the teams are kind of starting to get suspicious since Louie was kind of giving off an intimidating vibe than your usual open vibe... A few people even thought you were scary... which was something that would never be described with you." Sungah laughed.

"I guess I'll take that as a compliment but how's Louie going... why didn't he join you guys for lunch?"

"He said he was writing the script for what you will say in the presentation... although he never really wanted to have lunch with anyone... he found it rather uncomfortable.." Greg explained to me.

"Although I am kind of curious? What did happen to you when Louie and you got out of the cafe... leaving us behind by the way." Sungah asked curiously.

"Let's see... I went over to his hous-" "ACK! YOU DID?! ISN'T IT A BIT TOO EARLY TO DO THAT!" She yelled...

I facepalmed... I can't even with this girl... HOW DID SHE PASS HIGH SCHOOL AGAIN.

"Anyways. Ignoring what you just said... I met up with his family... well they were quite a character each of them... I got called a gold-digging slut by his father. I got called an affair by his brother... and then the driver assumed I was his mistress... A total let down if you ask me." I sighed to them showing how this thing really just got me tired and bothered...

"Seems like you've been through a lot... Don't worry! We'll help you as much as we can! Right Sungah?" Greg said enthusiastically.

"Wait? We are?" Sungah said puzzled. "I'm kidding of course. I mean it's kind of partly my fault that they switched since the spell kind of messed up... so I'll take responsibility.. not really the type of girl to just do it and leave."

"Are we still even talking about the switching or is there some other kind of meaning to that?" I said skeptically.

"I am quite concerned actually... how long is the spell gonna last actually?" Greg asked Sungah...

There was a long silence... it must be Sungah thinking about how long it will take...

"Actually I'm asking the same thing." I heard my voice over the phone... Oh, Louie is there.

"Why are the two of your outside of my office?" Louie asked them.

"We are actually talking to Grace right now..." Sungah explained to him.

"Why don't you guys come inside the office instead of standing in the hallway like a bunch of squatters." He said sternly to them...

I can hear footsteps going inside the room of the office...

"You see... I'm not sure how long the spell will last... although I'm sure it won't last more than a week... usually, it doesn't." She said timidly...

"Why do you sound so unsure about how long it will last then?" I hear Louie interrogating her.

"I'm honestly not sure... it's the first time I cast the spell... I think that's why it messed up... since I'm not really used to it yet." She giggled.

"I guess we'll just have to adjust to our new life for a while... I mean this isn't really so bad... I think of this as a learning experience. Don't you think Louie?" I said to him.

"If you think this is a mere game for you then I got one thing to tell you. My job is important for the company... and I don't think you are that assertive and capable to run it... so I definitely don't trust me." He said to me coldly...

Even with his apology before... he's still kind of a jerk still...

"That's why I formulated a script that should be 100% impossible to not mess up... You see I have a pretty good track record when it comes to these things and I expect everything to be 100% perfect." He said boasting about himself.

Okay, we get.. I'm not good enough for you... whatever...

"Alright then.. since I really have you to help me present we should need to worry right?" I said sarcastically... biting my tongue before I say something I might regret.

"Certainly..." He said confidentially...

Ugh. What a show-off... well it's almost time for the presentation anyway... I guess I'll see what Mr. 100% Perfect has for my script.
