Shisha and Athena were both stunned by the sudden invite by Shoushi who was usually ignorant of self study reviews. "So what's it gonna be Thy? Wanna review the subjects with me?" As Shoushi asked Athena who was still dazed along with Shisha. "Can I join in?" Shisha asked after a while. Shoushi frowned upon hearing it. "Why would you want to join us? You're good with Mathematics. She doesn't need that many people to teach her anyway." "The more the merrier right, Athena?" Athena was suddenly cornered by Shisha's question. Her mouth opened and closed but no words came out of her mouth as both of her classmates stared and waited for her to answer. " Well, since you guys are having a group study might as well we joined in as well. Meet you guys at the School's Cafeteria after school's over." The class monitor barged in on the conversation. 'Phew! That was a close call. I can't possibly side with one without hurting the other and put myself in jeopardy.' Athena thought to herself.
It wasn't long before the teacher came in the classroom to start a new subject to teach. The day hasn't been so hectic like it was before that morning until school was over for the day and the group of students came down to the Cafeteria to get together for the group study. The students in the class were very enthusiastic as it was the very firs time where the class "Hunk" was willing to teach the class in a group study.
'Ok,so let's see who has trouble solving the problem. We should all try to solve them and see if our answers match.' Says Douglas,the Class Rep. Everyone tries their best solving the Math homework given today. All except for Athena. She stared at the question as if staring at her arch enemy. She has never been particularly great at the subject bu she was not considered bad either. She just needs more time to understand the question especially when English is not her Mother Tongue or Main Language.
As Athena was concentrating, she was nudged by the elbow. "Bam!" her arms hit the table and as she turned towards the culprit,the sound of laughter reverberated in the cafeteria. 'Hahahahahaha! That was so funny. I should have brought my cam-corder today.'Soushi was laughing out loud to his heart's content. 'WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM?! Thank GOD I didn't hit my head on the table.' Athena exclaimed. Her eyes were red. Soushi has crossed her with his mischievousness. Athena is a very open minded girl and she adapts pretty well with her surroundings. But what she does not tolerate was a bad intent, be it intentional or not. And Soushi has fallen in her list of "Evil,Beware."
'You should have seen your face. You looked like you're going to war. Gosh,it's only Mathematics not invaders.Hahaha.' 'Regardless of whatever face one makes,that doesn't mean you can do as you please and nearly caused an accident!' As Athena berates Soushi the entire students who shared the same table as them started whispering among themselves about the incident. 'Soushi, why don't we concentrate on our studies first. Let's hangout afterwards.'Shisha tries to divert the attention away from the tension that was building between the two. 'Yeah,you shouldn't have done that to her. You could have asked Athy if she needed help to solve the question instead.' Douglas tried to ease the atmosphere further. 'GOD, what the hell is his problem??seriously,does he have mental issues? we aren't preschoolers.Jeez.. So much for being a newbie in town. Huuu..Calm down..breathe..countdown.. ' As Athena calms her fluctuating emotions,she changed her seat next to Douglas while the rest of the classmates had already solved the question at hand and were asking Soushi if they got the answer correct.
The group discussion continues for two hours without any other mishap. Athena remained silent throughout the discussion when she suddenly she got a call from the chauffeur that he was already in the parking lot with the nanny. When she looked at her phone it was already 3 in the afternoon and it was time to go home or her parents will be worried. Athena excused herself to her classmates and went home.
As soon as she reached home,Athena looked for her mother. But butler said her parents are gonna be late for dinner. 'Would you like dinner served in your room or the dining room,miss?' 'I'll have it in my room.
Please bring it at 6 P.M. And tell the maids I would like a nice bubble bath with the rose bath bombs Mother bought yesterday.' says Athena to the butler as she walks up the stairs towards her bedroom on the second floor. 'Yes Miss.I will have them prepare it right away and will notify you.' And the butler went to find the maids to attend to their only Young Miss in the family.
As soon as she enters her room,she dialed her mother's mobile phone. It didn't take long for the phone to connect. 'Yes Sweety,are you back from school already? I am still on the way home from the airport. The traffic is conjested.' Athena's lips formed a soft smile hearing her mother's voice from the other end of the line. 'I just got back,Mommy. I'm sorry I only texted you that there was a sudden study group today. It was a last minute thing decided by the Class rep.' 'Thank you for informing me or Mr.Zachary and Mrs. Loudy would have been dead bored waiting being fried in the parking lot waiting for you. So how was your study group?Did you understand what was disscussed?' Asked Mrs. Wijaya Kusuma curiously toward her timid and spoiled daughter. To her dissapointment, her daughter took a long time to answer her. 'What's wrong?Did something happen then?' 'I don't want to talk about it,Ma. It irks me when I remember. Anyway, why were you at the airport?'
