Chapter 6 - Family supper

After the photo taking, Chloe and Amelia both took the MRT back to Chloe's home to celebrate with her parents.

"Welcome home, Amelia dear! How have you been? Look at yourself! You've become thin again. Didn't chloe feed you enough?"Chloe's mother rushed out of the door with her apron on. "Well, I knew this would happen, so I baked a chocolate cake for you! Eat more and grow back those fats. "

Chloe, who had been ignored, rolled her eyes. Even though Amelia was from her friend's household, she still treated her as her daughter. "Mom, why do I feel like you have forgotten who your real daughter is?" She sarcastically said, earning laughs from the other party.

"Heheh... Look who's jealous. " Her mother teased which made her embarrassed. "Let's go in. Father must be waiting. "

The moment the audition ended, the two had actually called Chloe's parents announcing the good news. What they did not know was that they caught the whole event live on TV. After finding out that their daughter had managed to get through the preliminary selection, they rushed to the shop house near by to buy some decorations and hung them up.

"Congratulations!" Both parents shouted and confetti was sprinkled on her head. There was a joyous atmosphere in the living room as everyone celebrated the special occasion. After stuffing themselves full with cake, they sat down on the sofa to watch the late night news.

"Mom, Dad, I have something to tell you." She hesitated as she thought of how to say it out. By that time, everyone fixed their gaze on her. "Elsa is engaged. She invited me to her engagement party. It's five days from now." she got straight to the point. "Should I go?"

"Curse that slut! She dared to snatch your boyfriend away, now she's telling you to go to her engagement party?! Go attend it and show her you have already moved on!" Her mother started screaming and it took both the father and daughter to hold her down.

"Geez... Mom, calm down. I don't care about them anymore. Both of them already got what they deserved when they were kicked out if their families." Chloe finally let go after her mother relaxed hearing her words. "If you wish, I will go. Anyways I am confident I will win the spot to train in America so it will be the last time I see both of them. As they say, out of sight, out of mind.
