All the teachers were at least at Rank 5, so matter how crazily those at Rank 2 or Rank 3 fought, they all would be able to stop the fight instantaneously.
Thus, the students were usually quite crazy when fighting trying to use the chance to catch the attention of the teachers.
As for those at Rank 4, most teachers wouldn't be fast enough in case of danger, only some of the strongest ones or the principal, so it was a bit more dangerous.
Moreover, it was quite hard knowing when to stop a battle since all of those at Rank 4 were quite experiences and wouldn't be defeated just because it seemed that they were losing. Quite a few times, the battle had been reversed when one seemed about to lose.
Thus, the teachers might misjudge the situation, and someone died. It had happened at least a couple of times in the past, but it wasn't common.
