Shiba had already lost track of time about how much he had been battling that Essence God.
Although that Essence God wasn't too strong, he was coward enough to know when his life was in danger to avoid receiving deadly wounds.
Reality forced him to admit that Shiba was someone that could endanger his life despite being at a lower level, which only made him hate Shiba more, but he had been careful while fighting.
At the start, Shiba thought that after a while, Ravier would send reinforcements to him. He didn't believe that Ravier didn't know where Shiba was sent since it was obvious that they were catching a lot of attention. Thus, although they were quickly moving while fighting, Shiba didn't feel that it should be difficult for Ravier to send some help, but that help never appeared.
