The only people that knew about a certain unknown expert nicknamed Soul Reaper killing those Essence Gods were the ones of their own faction.
After their deaths, the people in the factions that had some time investigated them, but they found that there wasn't any trace of the identity of the person who made the killing. They only managed to learn that those Essence Gods weren't the first ones to die like that and that the culprit was someone publicly known as Soul Reaper, but no one knew anything else about that person.
After more than two hundred years, they gave up on their investigation. It was useless, and they feared that they would be targeted by the Soul Reaper if they followed. That was a very mysterious person, so the true level of the Soul Reaper wasn't known. He never killed someone stronger than a Law God before, but then he suddenly killed a whole group of Essence Gods without effort, so no one wanted to make assumptions.
