Chapter 124 - Moving

"Is it just me, or am I blowing up faster than last time?" I complained, rubbing my fingers over the slight swell between my hips. Alexandre hovered over me and kissed the spot enthusiastically.

"Definitely." He growled teasingly. I gaped.

"Rude!" I sputtered.

"No, I love it. I never thought to have one biological child. Now two? Carys, you misunderstand. I'm thrilled. I'm insanely proud." He kissed my abdomen again. "I must confess I'm nervous, but watching you grow with new life, a life we created... it's.. transcendent." Alexandre gushed.

"You, good sir, are a flatterer." I slid my leg up his bare side. He growled.

"Are you attempting to seduce me Carys?" His voice was low, husky.

"Oh I don't know. My hormones are crazy, maybe I don't know what I'm doing." I wrapped both legs around his torso. The growl intensified.

"I am a little hungry though." I remarked, placing a finger on my chin. "That usually leads to... other things." I teased. Alexandre's growl didn't stop as he moved to hover over my body. I giggled softly and traced the veins in his arms. "Neck or wrist, lover?" I purred. He abruptly grabbed me and rolled us over so I was straddling him.

"You choose." He offered, tilting his head out of the way in open invitation. Damn, having him submit to me like that was so sexy, my vampire side practically purred, but I also felt the urge for a bit of a struggle. Damn vampire kinks. Deciding to take my teasing a little further, I started at his sternum, kissing my way to his neck, licking over his pulse swiftly. His heartrate picked up, but I suddenly moved to his shoulder, kissing my way down his arm, following a vein to his wrist. He bucked his hips and I could tell he was enjoying himself based on the way his member throbbed between us. I passed over his wrist, licking my way up his fingers, until he started growling again. Ah, there it was. I met his gaze. The intensity of the passion burning in his eyes nearly knocked me over. I sucked Alexandre's index finger while holding his gaze. His growl turning into a low roar as I pressed myself against his arousal, and began to rock my hips.

"Carys, by all the gods ever recorded, I hope this is your version of consent, because I'm on the edge of turning you over and taking you until you can't walk." Alexandre snarled.

"Do it then." I taunted, and popped his middle finger into my mouth, running my tongue around the base suggestively. That was as far as Alexandre let me get. As promised, he flipped us over and had his way with me. When we finally left the bedroom, Mina was toddling around the kitchen table as Rory ate, asking for bites of his food that he fed her indulgently. He got a sniff of us and shook his head.

"You've already created two of them, why are you trying so hard?" He teased. If it hadn't been for Mina, I probably would have tossed something at him. As it was, I just made a face. "Oooh, great comeback Sunshine. That really put me in my place. I feel horrible about myself now." Rory replied sarcastically.

"Mina honey, will you leave the room so I can tackle your Uncle Rory?" I almost snarled.

"Roly! Bite!" Mina demanded. Rory obediently lowered his fork to her level. "Yum!" She squealed, taking a bite of pork chop. It nearly turned my stomach, but I noticed he'd left one almost rare just for her. I felt love well up in my heart for him and realized again how much I was going to miss them when he and Cornelius left. Alexandre pulled me against his side.

"Did I hear my little songbird's voice?" Luc said from the kitchen doorway. He'd progressed to a cane in the last couple of months since we'd found out I was pregnant again, and was doing really well with it. His limbs still shook if he stood too long, but for a man who was recovering from a broken spine and had wasted away to almost nothing, I was impressed.

"Kook! Kook!" Mina shouted, rushing at Luc's legs. I grimaced for him as she impacted with him, worried he might be overbalanced, but he managed to stay upright.

"Hungry?" I asked him over Mina's excited chatter. Luc smiled gratefully with a slight nod and I ran my fingers along Alexandre's chest as I walked by, eliciting a small growl from him. I pulled out two blood bags from the biohazard fridge and went to the counter to pour them in mugs and warm them. After finishing, I handed Alexandre one that was nearly filled to the brim and slit my wrist over another. Alexandre held out his wrist and I topped off the other two mugs with his blood. I handed the mixed cup to Luc, who had sunk into a chair and thanked me profusely, then brought the Alexandre mix to my lips.

"Still having morning sickness?" Rory asked me from his place at the table. I grimaced.

"Yeah, I'm trying to wean myself off Alexandre though. This one is about one quarter human." I held up the mug. Now if only baby will cooperate." I muttered darkly. Rory chuckled.

"Kook! Bite!" Mina demanded, hanging off his leg. He chuckled and brought the cup to her lips, and she rather messily took a few swallows.

"That child is spoiled." I shook my head. Alexandre picked Mina up and blew a raspberry against her skin.

"Never!" He proclaimed as Mina squealed with laughter.

"Well I gotta get moving. Goodnight Sunshine. Or good morning for you." Rory snickered as he kissed me on the cheek. "Alexandre." He offered a quick kiss to him as well. "Luc." He nodded, and Luc nodded back, raising his cup in a salute. I watched Rory leave with a steady ache in my chest. He and Cornelius had found a place, and were in the process of moving.

"They're not falling off the face of the earth Carys." Alexandre said gently.

"I know, but they're going to be-"

"About twenty minutes away, the way Rory drives." Alexandre responded, cutting me off, and I shuddered.

"Don't remind me." I remarked and he chuckled.

I held Mina as Rory and Cornelius carried the last of their possessions out of our house. I was fighting back tears, worrying my lower lip with my teeth.

"Carys, little nymph, you've got to stop biting your lip. Your teeth are not made for that now." Cornelius scolded lightly as he came back in the door. He rubbed a thumb across my lip, wiping the blood away. He licked it away from his thumb lasciviously. I rolled my eyes, but before I could make a sarcastic comment, Cornelius had descended on me, pulling me into a passionate kiss that made my toes curl.

"Wow." I panted. "You should have led with that." Cornelius chuckled as Mina started wiggling, wanting to be put down. I set her on the floor and watched her dash around the foyer. Cornelius gently tugged my chin back towards him so I'd look at him.

"We love you Carys. I hope you know that." Cornelius said softly. The tears that had been threatening to fall betrayed me.

"Aw Neil, you made her cry!" Whined Rory on his way back inside. He sauntered over to us and grabbed me, bending me back into a deep kiss that had me gasping for air. "I'm going to miss seeing your face every day Sunshine." Rory murmured.

"Then stay. Both of you." I whispered. Rory shook his head and set me back upright, a gentle hand on my abdomen.

"We'd just be in the way." He replied softly, then more chipperly "Besides, we're only a short way down the road!"

"If you drive like a maniac." I said, rolling my eyes. Cornelius chuckled at Rory's faux hurt expression.

"Cornelius, Rory." Alexandre stepped up, offering his hand to each in turn. The simple handshakes turned into hugs from both, and a kiss from Rory. "My friends, don't be strangers." Alexandre's calm broke as his voice choked slightly, eyes full of tears.

"Call us. If you need anything." Cornelius gripped Alexandre's hand tightly, looking to both of us intently.

"Same for you." Alexandre replied softly, wrapping an arm around me and pulling me tightly against his side.

"I left a bottle of my blood in the fridge. For Luc, and emergencies. Call me when you run out." Cornelius instructed. "And you." He looked at me. "Use it sparingly unless you want to give birth in a few short months." I rolled my eyes.

"I'm not that desperate." I caressed the small round bump of my stomach. We were guesstimating I was about four months along now.

"You're going to be here for the birth, right?" Alexandre asked, squeezing me tighter.

"Probably not on time to see it happen, but shortly after." Cornelius smiled slightly.

"Unless Rory drives." I muttered. Rory placed a hand over his heart and scoffed.

"But seriously, you guys aren't getting rid of us that easily. We'll visit. Often. And expect you to do the same." Rory grinned, then grabbed Alexandre and I into one more hug. "Ok, time to go before the waterworks start. We'll call when we get there, dad." Rory cut Alexandre off sarcastically as Alexandre was about to make the request. Cornelius grabbed Rory around the waist and maneuvered him towards the door.

"You know I am older than him by several centuries." Cornelius commented on their way out.

"Dude, you're so old you were there when they invented the word 'centuries'." Rory teased, then kissed him. "But I love you anyway you old fart." I shook my head and shut the door after them.

"Roly! Neil!" Mina called and the door burst back open.

"Oh my god! I nearly forgot to say goodbye to my favorite person again!" Rory cried dashing in to scoop Mina up and kiss her all over her face. Cornelius held out his arms for her and she gleefully tried to lunge into his arms. They smothered her in attention before finally setting her down and saying their final goodbyes.

"Roly? Neil?" Mina asked as the door shut a final time. I grabbed her up and hugged her tight.

"I'm sorry baby, they're moving." I kissed her cheek. "But they'll come back and visit sometime."

"Roly! Neil! Home!" She yelled. A tear slipped from my eye as Alexandre enveloped us both in his arms.
