Chapter 32 - The Phoenix Returns(1).....

This time instead of the attic, it was the backyard of her school's church where she arrived. The backyard was small, consisting of a beautiful rose garden and a storage shed. The little girl rushed over to the shed and thanks to her lucky star the shed was left unlocked. Following behind the girl, were the three fully loaded cylinders.

Her little actions proved that she was still a child even though her expressions sung another song altogether.

After shoving the cylinders angrily in the shed, Nitiya returned to the attic without a peep.

In the meantime, from the rampaged kitchen to the dusty attic, Saaransh still wasn't able to wrap his head around what just happened. No matter from which angle he analysised, he couldn't come to an acceptable explanation regarding the chronology of the events. He wanted to ask Nitiya about it but , that girl came in with bull's horns for God knows what reason.

He believed and it was proven as well that where there is no answer, there is always one answer ' Nitiya ' .

Wanting to get out of the dusty attic, Saaransh headed for the door only to remember that it always remains lock which means he was trapped until Nitiya comes back.

He could easily break down the door no problem there. Still, he chose not to because Lia's room was just under his feet and breaking the door would unnecessarily attract the shadow creatures attention, risking the safety of his mom and the teachers. Also, when it came down to Nitiya, drastic change of plans were occurance of the minute. Therefore, him been brought up to the attic means something's up.

The attic was basically a large, empty, enclosed room with him, their dinning table, an empty cylinder and a few boxes with some old stuff. There was one small window that overveiwed the lake behind the mansion. The scene outside was getting more and more choatic by the minute. In the centre of the lake, Nani was barely holding up. It was evident from her spells and movements that she too was just as confused as him.

Saaransh's little eyebrows creased, forming a deep frown.

He was truly worried.

If they didn't go on offense mode soon then things might escalate to an uncontrollable level.

" STUPID!!! "

Nitiya returned to find Saaransh lost in his thoughts and then pounced on her with his barrage of questions.

" Nitiya!!! What the heck did you do this time??? The Shadow Army has gone haywire and where are the Viento triplets gone??? There is no sign of them anywhere---"

Saaransh rattled on and on until he noticed Nitiya's dangerously deadly look which ended him up shut.

She was MAD!!!!

Really mad!! To the point that her face turned into a bright red tomato and one could actually see steam coming out of her ears.

" I DIDN'T HAVE TO DO ANYTHING IF YOU HAD DONE SOMETHING USEFUL INSTEAD OF JUST TRYING YOUR STUPID STUNTS!!! "

Damn!!!

Saaransh scratched his nose awkwardly as he thought back on how he had to run with his tail in his hands.

" I'm sorry!! They were too many of them at a time and I had to distract them somehow. "

Nitiya let out long exasperated sigh.

" God created you with everything but, forgot to give you the most important thing. It's understandable. "

" What's the most important thing that God forgot to give me??? "

Poor Saaransh was really pitiful at the moment. Only if a certain someone understood that and not rub salt on his wounds.

Sadly, Nitiya had no intention of being understanding, instead her words got ever sharper.

" Some grey matter. Because if you had, then you would have realized that you had collected more than enough of the Shadow Army's spells to counter attack them and not run with your tail in your hands. "

Saaransh :"....."

' Brutal!!! That was really brutal Nitiya!!! ' he thought as his self esteem dropped to negative. " I was just trying not to break the terrace. " Saaransh said in a barely audible whisper after which a hard kick landed on him.

" Ouch!!!! "

Nitiya was ready kick holes in him at his lame excuses. Saaransh had do something and fast in order to save himself from the wrath of the Lady Devil.

" So.. uhm... what exactly did you do Nitiya?? " Saaransh asked timidly, trying to change track of the conversation. He desperately hoped that it would reduce some of Nitiya's boiling anger.

However, Nitiya wasn't a fool.

She threw a mean look at him and not a word after that.

Silence settled in the attic as they both looked out of the window.

About a minute or two later, Nakash bursted into the room at a lightening speed and stopped right in front of the window. His breathing was ragged and he was profusely sweating from head to toe.

" Nitiya!! What did *YOU* exactly do this time??? Why did you provoke the Viento triplets like that??? Right now, they are having a full fledge battle amongst themselves. A fierce one at that and the entire Shadow Army has gone all haywire. Everyone is confused about what's going on?? "

" Why don't you ask him what's going on??? " Nitiya wasn't going to let up so easily. " If not for his stupidity, there was absolutely no need for me to do anything at all. "

" Waitwaitwait!!!! Just what do you mean by Nitiya provoked the Viento triplets?? " This news to Saaransh and not the one he was fond of hearing. " Nitiya, you faced the Viento triplets by yourself!!! Do you have any idea how dangerous that was?? " Now it was Saaransh's turn to be mad.

" Hmph!! I'm not as stupid as you. Besides, have I ever done anything that I am no sure off?? " Nitiya spoke confidently.

Indeed, her words cannot be refuted. Everytime, Nitiya had done something like this, it was for a bigger cause and would be beneficial for them even though it may not look so on the surface.

All thanks to Saaransh, he would always land himself in trouble which then turn out to be the initiation of such ideas.

" Okay, so what's the big idea?? " Nakash finally asked the billion dollars question much to Saaransh's relief.

" You are right about provoking the Viento triplets. It was indeed me who provoked them and created a discord between those brothers, which is why the Shadow Army has gone haywire. " Nitiya spoke honestly however, her words still didn't make much sense to the boys.

" When I was reading their minds, I realized that if I can read their minds then they're material enough for me to use my other powers on them.

In all honesty, I never thought I would have to use my powers for his sake. " Nitiya gestured towards Saaransh who cowered under her heated glare.

" But Nitiya, you said before that you weren't able to pinpoint them??? " Saaransh couldn't help but, blurted out after several failed attempts of trying to decode the language of the genius even though he was afraid of the angry Nitiya.

" It's true that I couldn't pinpoint them but, with little help I was still able to control their minds. And by doing so, I forced them out of their hole and then fanned the flames of their individual ambitions to the point where nothing was more important to them than themselves.

Because of their broken unity, they now have no control over the Shadow Army which is why they are longer as ferocious as they initially were. Now all we have to do is keep them distracted and they won't harm us. " Nitiya continued ignoring Saaransh.

" Then what about the Viento triplets ??? " Nakash's creative juices were already running high. Given the change of circumstances, a new plan was in demand.

Nakask didn't mind the challenge though. The tougher things got the more fun it was.

Having a deep understanding of her brother, Nitiya's lips curled up to a mischievous smrik. " What do you say we have some fun with them, they can't get back their hold on the Shadow Army anyways?? "

Those simple words bore in them a dangerous game of life that the little ones were getting ready play.

Something that was going to back the lost one for their sake.
