Jason ran towards the police station with a fake panicked expression as his eyes zoomed to the inside of the prison.
"Holy fuck someone threw a grenade at the door"
"No shit bro! Who dares to attack our group?"
"But this firepower bro… it wasn't a simple grenade...thank god, I wasn't stationed at the door"
"Where are the boss and vice leader??"
All kinds of conversations went on as people tried to release their anxiousness and stress. Seeing that he finally managed to slip up near the police station Jason gazed at the inside of the police station and took out something from his inventory and discreetly threw it on the floor near the entrance.
He was quite wary of the things that came from the system, the frag grenade was a proof of that so he turned his back towards the flash bang and counted silently in his heart.
The mayhem had successfully concealed his identity as the thrower of the grenade but the grenade did not go unnoticed as one of the guards looked astonishingly at the grenade that had rolled on in front of the police station. His eyes widened as he recognized what it was.
"shi…" the guard could not complete what he was saying as his whole world was filled with piercing white light and an explosive sound soo loud that he was sure his ears would be bleeding from the impact.
Even though Jason had covered his ears and had closed his eyes while facing away from the flashbang he still felt as if lightning had struck in front of him. He had to blink several times to adjust to the slowly focusing world around him.
His ears were still ringing but he focused as he had just enough time to rush inside before the people get back to their senses.
He broke into a mad sprint towards the inside of the police station. He could not even hear the sound of his footsteps as the flash-bang had been too powerful causing his ears to still have a ringing sound.
But when he reached the front door of the prison block of the police station he was scared shitless by what was in front of him.
It was a girl with a torn-up face as blood dripped from her face and one of her legs had metal pieces logged inside as blood flowed from them too. It was such a gruesome sight that he almost emptied his stomach on the spot.
His eyes widened as he looked closely as the other half of her face and those piercing blue eyes of the girl.
"Kim?" he could not muster his voice as his voice barely came out as a whisper.
The girl, on the other hand, was looking at the wreckage in front of her with an astonished face and when he whispered her name her neck snapped towards him looking at him with disbelief in her eyes.
"Little brother?" Kim asked in a half hopeful half unbelieving tone, her voice was frail due to all the exhaustion.
Listening to her call him little brother with such a tone Jason could not help himself as tears came out of his eyes as he rushed madly at her and just as he was about to embrace her he stopped himself from doing that after looking at her terrible condition.
"Who did it? I swear to god I'll fucking end his miserable life but not before breaking every bone in his body!!" Jason swore as he looked at her with a concerned gaze mixed with naked fury at the person who had harmed her. His anger was at its peak now as he would not hesitate to kill the man who hurt her.
"He is dead. I killed him" Kim said with a faint smile as she listened to him going on about killing people. A day ago this little brother of hers would be racing with cars and watching anime with Arya and Harry. She was glad that he was alive and meeting him was no less than a blessing to her.
"Arya?" Kim asked with an anxious look on her face.
"She's safe, and in fact, she is coming to save you right now," Jason said with a reassuring tone as he contacted Arya on the radio.
"I have Kim, come inside"
"I..I'm coming" Arya replied with a voice filled with emotions.
Kim's body relaxed as she heard Arya's voice on the radio.
Jason looked grimly at her torn-up face and the metal shard in her leg.
"Will the healing cream be able to heal her?" Jason asked anxiously to the system, he had only 150 coins and basic healing cream was all that he could afford right now.
"Of course, but you will have to remove the shards from her leg before applying it there"
Listening to this Jason finally release all the pent up tension inside him. Looking at her terrible condition had made him extremely sad and now that it was treatable he could finally be calm now.
Before he could purchase the cream and apply it on her something weird started happening.
A slow sound started playing in his mind as if someone was playing a beautiful piano note. The melody rang inside his head as he slowly started losing himself to the melody...
