Chapter 19 - A Small Walk

Then it hit him. Underneath the cute, innocent exterior was a slumbering dominatrix. Calder shivered. He quickly got up and looked down at Lady Britille. "T-t-thank y-you f-f-for t-the p-p-picnic b-b-but I-I-I-I m-must b-be g-going." He said as his teeth chattered and his face paled. Without waiting for a response Calder turned and ran away, leaving Lady Britille dumbstruck.

"Oh crap I hope I didn't unlock her BDSM like desires!" Calder muttered to himself as he ran towards his study.

Calder rushed into his study and slammed the door behind him. "Ouch." He heard the moment he did. Calder opened the door sightly then panicked when he saw Rutley gingerly holding his nose. "Rutley I'm so sorry!" Calder shouted as he pulled Rutley in by the collar of his shirt. "Why did you run away?" Rutley asked with a nasally voice. Suddenly blood started to escape from his hands and it trickle down to his chin.

"Ahh! That doesn't matter right now!" Calder shouted as he started to search his pockets for a handkerchief. He couldn't find one and pulled off his periwinkle carat tie off. He then pulled Rutley's hand away and cringed. the damaged to Rutley's nose was a lot worse then what he thought. Calder moved quickly and pinched the bridge of Rutley's nose with his tie. "Your highness, what are you doing?!" Rutley shouted.

"First aid" Calder said courtly as he made Rutley tilt his head forward slightly. "Hold the bridge of your nose like this. I am going to go get Landis, your nose may, may be broken. I'm so sorry." Calder said apologetically as he raised Rutley's hand and placed it on top of the tie. "But your highness I'm alright." Rutley protested as he did what he was told.

"No you're not. Your blood is already soaking the tie and it was me that slammed the door. I need to take some responsibility." Calder said then he quickly left the room before Rutley could protest any further. Calder looked around and couldn't spot a servants close by. Calder groaned and stared to run towards the infirmary.

Calder was huffing by the time he made it to the infirmary. "Landis are you here?" Calder called out in between breaths. "I must be out of shape.' Calder mumbled to himself. "No I just think your body laid in bed a little too long. Don't worry you'll be in peak condition in a couple of days." Landis called out as Calder slumped on to the door frame.

"Y-you thin-?!" Calder started to reply as he raised his gaze but instantly shut his mouth. Lady Syria was being supported by Landis as they slowly approached him. "Calder my boy, are you alright?" Landis said as he stared at Calder's face. Calder averted his gaze as he straightened up his posture. "Lady." He said with a small head nod.

Landis glanced at Lady Syria and saw how she immediately fallen into a bad mood. "Calder what bring you here?" Landis called out as he smiled to himself. "Rutley got hurt. I need you to look at him." Calder said as he kept his eyes glued to the corner of the room.

"You don't say... Well I actually do have my hands full at the moment. You see Lady Syria's ankle is horribly swollen. I'm afraid that if she strains herself even more she may break it. So this delicate lady needs to be taken back to her room to rest. I can go to Rutley after I safely escort her..." Landis explained.

Lady Syria and Calder's hair stood on end when Landis finished his explanation. Calder looked positively guilty and couldn't help but turn his gaze to Lady Syria.

While Lady Syria bit her lower lip. She looked like she wanted to say something but was internally debating with herself. "Landis, Lady Syria getting injured was completely my fault. Please let me take her back. Rutley may have a broken his nose and really needs your help." Calder said hastily. Without hesitation Landis gave Calder Lady Syria's hand and then ran off.

"Please make sure the Lady is properly supported on the way back to her room!" Landis shouted as he ran off. Calder nervously looked at Lady Syria and tried to give her a small smile but in Lady Syria's eyes it looked like Calder was condemning her. She turned up her nose and avoided looking at him. "S-should we go?" Calder asked awkwardly as he looked at Lady Syria's hand laying delicately in his.

"If we must." Lady Syria said in an arrogant tone. He gulped and felt his lower region start to slowly press against his pants. Lady Syria removed her hand and wrapped her hand around Calder's arm instead. Calder's face turned bright red as his lower region started to praise glory at an alarming rate. "Lady Syria tell me about yourself!" Calder shouted causing Lady Syria to stumble forward.

She gasped as she started to fall and Calder quickly grabbed her around the waist. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you." Calder said in a shaky voice as he slowly lifted her back up. Lady Syria looked like she was ready to cry but she held back her tears with determination as she glared at him. "I never met someone so brutish in all my life!" She growled. Calder looked ashamed as he dropped his gaze. "I'm really sorry.' He said pitifully.

"Well if I didn't need you to escort me back I would have left already." She said bitterly as she held out her hand. Calder looked at her hand and gulped. He stretched out his arm and watched as she gently wrapped her hand around it. "So what do you want to know?" Lady Syria asked as she averted her gaze. Calder suddenly felt his heart warm up. He couldn't believe that such a haughty tone would make him so happy.

"What are your hobbies?" He asked happily. Lady Syria quickly brought her gaze to Calder and looked at him suspiciously. "Why would you want to know something like that?" Lady Syria asked cautiously. "Why not?" Calder replied with a small shrug. Lady Syria narrowed her eyes at him. Calder couldn't help but chuckle, he could see her brain working to see if their was some other ulterior motive with his question but she couldn't figure it out.
